I watched this movie on DD national when I was a kid. I liked the visuals of this movie so much so that I used to tell my maasi to tell me the story of ramayan and while listening to the story I used to imagine those visuals. I can't tell what this movie mean to me. This is the first animation movie that made me fall in love with animated movies. I am happy it is re-releasing.

Excellent research. But just one update. I have seen this cartoon film on DD Metro in my childhood when DD Metro had a prime time segment called Golden Hours. The complete film was telecasted a few times. I guess it was in early 2000 during Vajpayee Government. In hindi the dubbing of Ram ji was done by Arun Govil ji and Sita Mata was done by Deepika ji.
