Hi Sally, I enjoyed reading the tidbits you shared with us. In the day, I was living in Berrien Springs, Michigan when the late heavyweight boxer Mulhammed Ali bought an estate there. History has it, Ali bought the property Mr Capone used on occasion. The building you were in is a whopping 174 years old, and i am sure if the walls could talk...the stories would be many. That is one whopping cheeseburger! lol The burger looks very good and the tour of the place was awesome. The place covered all it's bases like...ice cream parlor for the women, and ladies of the night! lol Thank you for sharing Sally, it was an informative video! :)

Lol, that burger was HUGE!! I would love to check out that estate. It sounds like it has some fascinating history, especially knowing Muhammad Ali owned it. Thanks Bob, I appreciate you always watching my vids.

What a cool old building! If walls could talk LOL. The ghosts in there apparently do still speak. That hamburger did look very yummy! Thanks for sharing this very interesting video Sally. Take care. 😃👍

Lol, I’m pretty sure some of the stories wouldn’t be for the faint at heart. Thank you, take care yourself 😁

Awesome thanks Glenn!! It’s believed Al Capone might have ended the life of one of the “ladies of the night” one time he was here. Maybe she’s the one who haunts the place??

yes, I think it was worth it! thank you sally. Those cheese curds looked delicious & so did that burger w/the spinach/cheese on it. We used to have a burger place in Daytona beach, called sauers café & they made burgers like that too, I think my dad said they mixed pork w/hamburger meat & it was all fresh. Problem was, the hamburgers were so good, they were packed every day for lunch, so it was difficult to get a seat from 11:00 to 1:00 pm. Looked like a cool place sally, do they rent any of the upstairs rooms or not? like a motel/hotel? I really like old places like that

Sauers Cafe sounds like a great place! Unfortunately no, they don’t. It’s my understanding that the third floor is left untouched for the spirits that haunt the place. The second floor as being used as office space for the owners. Thanks Pat, I appreciate your feedback! Both the burger and cheese curds were great. If it wasn’t so far from where I live, I’d definitely go back to try their pizza.

On the Wisconsin side from Ironwood Mi is Hurley. Al Capone his brother and other gangsters hung out in that town. My dad used to tell me stories of Al in that town.

I heard the tones of Karma Chameleon in the background. I wonder what Mr. Capone would have made of Boy George :-) I've never seen burgers like that in New York or Rhode Island - real tasty. I love the sign with the roller skater girl in red - probably ubiquitous in WI but not over here!

Yes, I’m surprised the KZbin police didn’t pick up on that (they did on “Piano Man” so I had to “edit” the song using their editor to avoid a copyright issue). Lol, I’m sure Mr. Al Capone would’ve had the same reaction that my dad did back in the day when Boy George first came out. The burger was fantastic by the way, not like the crap that a lot of restaurants serve up these days.

My great grandfather drove beer truck for AL Capone. He also happened to live in that area. I believe St. Cloud which is pretty close to Pipe. I would be surprised if he hadn't spent some time in there.

Oh and if you're wondering, yes they did find a buyer and are still open for business!

Lol, I really don’t know why or how I ever started eating my cheese curds with ketchup. The honey mustard sounds interesting. I will have to try that next time I eat fried cheese curds.
