It's not that people grow up hating the Raiders. It's that the Raiders organization and fans are addicted to creating artificial rivalries by starting petty feuds. This all stems from the inferiority complex that comes with spending their entire existence as the ugly stepchild in their market, whether it's the Bay Area (49ers) or Los Angeles (Rams). It's no wonder why the Raiders want to move to Las Vegas.

after Tom Flores left, that's when Al Davis became Al Davis for the remainder of his ownership of the Raiders, for the remainder of his life, specifically, that's when he became the difficult boss, owner to work for, that's when he would step on Coaches toes so the Raiders would play his way, meddle with Coaches and create instability within the Raiders organization. Something similar happened with Gruden after his first tenure with the Raiders ended in the early 2000's.

As someone who has orange and blue running in their veins, I HATE the Raiders with a passion. A win against them is so sweet, regardless of standings, their coach or location. #BroncosCountry #RaiderHater
@EnjoyLifeNow246 жыл бұрын
I understand why you and others hate the Raiders, wherever they go they have fans. When they came to L.A. for a preseason game last August, there were more Raiders' fans than Rams' fans at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum. In Tennessee two years ago when they played the Titans, half of the stadium was wearing silver and black jerseys, the most popular and sought after jersey in the NFL even with a losing record. Just go online and check the prices for the Raiders' jerseys. I was even told by Kansas City Chiefs fans and Chargers' fans that even though they hate the Raiders they admitted that the Raiders' shield and jerseys look awesome and they admitted that the Raiders' anthem, The Autumn Wind was a hell of an anthem in the world of professional sports. Nobody can take that away from the Raiders. I got friends overseas who call me, so that I can order some Raiders' gear for them. They barely understand the game, but they told me that when they saw the Raiders' gear they felt in love with the Raiders.
@EnjoyLifeNow246 жыл бұрын
@Erik Lerström All owners of professional sports teams in any sport behave the same way. It is just a business and like any other business, owners want to get away by not paying their employees what they deserve. It is part of life from day one, he who has the gold rules. That happens everywhere in the world in any type of system. Do I support that? Not at all. But one thing I can tell you, many who were born in poverty became rich and famous by playing American football, the king of all sports in the great U.S.A. I know that what we call soccer in the U.S.A is the passion in Sweden and Europe. I used to be a big soccer follower, but I stopped when I saw in the last World Cup the corruption of FIFA even by implementing the instant replay. American football has become my passion since I moved to the U.S. in the early 80's. I know it must be really cold over there in Sweden and dark most of the time. I would love to visit Sweden during Summer to see the Northern lights. I am a big fan of the Swedish musical band ABBA, I was listening ABBA classic hits earlier today. I remember the Swedish national team that participated in the U.S.A. 1994 FIFA World Cup, they put a good performance and they won the third place in that tournament. I remember Martin Dahlin, Henrik Larsson, Tomas Brolin, and the goalkeeper Thomas Ravelli, Patrick Andersson, Roger Ljung. Man that was an unforgettable World Cup and that was the best Swedish team since the 1958 team that went to the final against Brazil when the World Cup took place in Sweden. The beef actually still lives on today. Long time announcer Greg Papa left the Raiders organization when Mark Davis interviewed Mike Shanahan after Al Davis died. Papa already had issues with Mark Davis, but once Shanahan was interviewed, Papa left.
@johnpaulnuno77685 жыл бұрын
This video is well done but there is an addendum to this beef that occurred a couple of years ago that snuffed out the final vestiges of the Al Davis Raiders. In early 2015, Mark Davis, son of Al, interviewed Mike Shanahan for the Raiders job. Raiders play by play man Greg Papa took to the airwaves in order to criticize Mark Davis for the move and basically called it a betrayal of his father's legacy. That talking to Shanahan amounted to treason. Papa, a brilliant play by play announcer, was an Al loyalist and was even at one time considered for a front office job, his heart was clearly with the old regime, as were people like the departed CEO Amy Trask. On Papa's radio show that day was Bill Romanowski, former Bronco (Shanahan) and Raider (Davis), who disagreed with Papa about the value of interviewing Shanahan. Despite being grateful that Davis signed him late in his career, Romanowski argued that Davis only kept people around that agreed with him or did his bidding, and that was not the way to run a franchise. Fast forward to 2018 and Papa was fired in favor of Brent Musburger. Papa, who is deeply missed by Raider fans for his skills as a play by play announcer, blamed his dismissal on his previous Shanahan comments. He is now currently the play-by-play announcer for the Forty-Niners. The hiring of the Las Vegas-based Musburger cleared the franchise of remaining Al loyalists and reaffirmed the transition to the Mark Davis Las Vegas Raiders.

Erik Lerström Dan Gilbert won 1 title because of lucking into one player who happens to be from the city… Al Davis hired great people like John madden Tom Flores art shell, took players other teams didn’t want and made them great like Cliff Branch Jim plunkett Kenny stabler. They built the team around hard hitting and the deep ball and later the WCO and for 30 years it worked. And then once the Gruden team aged out, al had aged out too and couldn’t replace any of those guys for the rest of his life, which was his fault because he got rid of Gruden over personal beef

Look I'm 60 years old and al davis was never an "excellent" owner. He was pretty good for about a decade or so and then started getting real embarrassing. He was a complete joke after 1985. I'll always miss laughing at his shriveled up face as he drafts another 4.3 burner that doesnt even know what football is.

Wait a minute, he pissed away Marcus Allen for multiple seasons as well as Mike Shanahan. Made idiotic draft picks like Todd Marinovich, and Jamarcus Russell. Traded away John Gruden who kicked his ass in the Super Bowl and that's what you call a commitment to excellence. He was Jerry Jones and Dan Synder before they became owners in the NFL.

That was my favorite sports story of all time. Shanahan asked gerbac to throw the football toward al Davis

when beef lasts that long, the beef goes bad and starts to stink. You eventually have the let the beef go.

To me the NFL's are always better when the Oakland Raiders are good

I would have done the same thing Mike Shanahan did. The time to have beef with a person is while they're alive. Once they're dead. Leave it be.
