Stuart Saves His Family is a 1995 comedy film directed by Harold Ramis, and based on a series of Saturday Night Live sketches from the early-to-mid 1990s. The movie tracks the adventures of would-be self-help guru Stuart Smalley, a creation of writer/comedian/politician Al Franken, as he attempts to save both his deeply troubled family and his low-rated cable access show.

This is a GREAT movie everybody. Its a comedy, obviously, but it really delves into real family issues and problems everyone can relate to. I really love it.

Love this movie...I once got a part time job as a waiter just so I could tell a customer "No" when they ordered a drink. Fired immediately and it was completely worth it.

As a former server, I LOVED it when the guy orders another double scotch and Stuart just smiles and says, "No!" LOL! Wish I could have done that! There were times when people would be drinking too much too fast, and I wasn't in a position to tell them they need to slow down or wait for their meal so the food could help with their absorption rate.

That's my favorite line from the movie, too! But it wasn't just a drink, it was a humongous steak and everything buttery and unhealthy on the menu while the guy looked like a heart attack waiting to happen. I still think of this when I'm in a grocery store line and the person in front of me is buying a cartload of unhealthy junk. I keep waiting for the checker to do a Stuart and say, "Uhm......no."

I like this movie. This movie made me cry because I do come from a dysfunctional family. Like him, I'm in the phase of trying to concentrate on myself than on their problems. I grew up with depression, low self esteem. There are scenes on this movie where I cried at how close they were to my thoughts

I loved this movie when I was younger, and it's weird watching it now, understanding the stuff going on behind and all. I always loved Swoosie's part in the film. There was that hint of visceral rage you could just make out few a few seconds.

I love how all of the comment sections for Stuart Smalley videos always devolve into bashing Al Franken and heated debate between supporters, haters and confused Saturday Night Live fans who either a) don't know that Franken is a senator or b) try to find fellow people who came solely to watch the video so they can discuss about how much they love it. Then there's that one person who's in love with Franken's dimples. Never change, Internet. You're beautiful just the way you are.

Stuart Smalley was the only talk show host SNL sketch to be made into a theatrical movie, SNL planned a movie based on Sprockets and wrongfully cancelled it during development, SNL will find out that abandoning the Sprockets movie titled Dieter before pre-production was a mistake that can never be undone.

Ok, well look up how to use punctuation in your next big read. Also, the US Senate is wholly distinct from our "Administration," which refers to the executive. You obviously have no idea what each position does, and thus -- unlike what your teachers told you -- your opinion is utterly invalid and irrelevant.
