@@missbrat711 choosing surgery is not an easy choice. Surgery also has it's downsides. You're not accounting for the psychological aspect of weight loss. It's really hard and can ask too much from someone. Also health is a personal right and the choice is theirs, don't judge so much.

Al, you’re beautiful even without makeup! My best friend had bypass surgery (about) four yrs ago. He’s dropped 100 lbs. He still has to watch what and how much he eats (cut down on sugary stuff, nothing heavy like homemade whole wheat bread, don’t eat too much at a time or he will experience “dumping syndrome” aka barfing). But I’m proud of him for his choice, after diets and exercise alone didn’t work.

I really appreciate TLC Australia for this. People need to understand there is no "just" when it comes to surgery. Any of them have complications. We're fortunate that today we have the medical knowledge that we can make a lot go right, but that doesn't mean there aren't risks associated or that it's easy. I have thought all the brides on here have looked very pretty, but you can be bombshell pretty and still be extremely unhealthy. We love you and want you around :) XOXO

Al, please don’t beat yourself up because you are having the surgery. I had it done in 2002, 20 yrs ago, I have kept off 90 lbs. I had many giving me negative advice. Do not listen to the naysayers. Be you, this is between you, your family, and your physician! No one else. This surgery is never done lightly. It is not an easy road learning how to re-eat. I wish you the best! I know you will be glad you had it done. Many time health issues clear up rapidly!❤
