@@playsie4731I agree. The pool of talented players coming out of college is far greater than in the past and the game is far more global than in the past. I've read that in 1980-81 season only 1.7% of the players were born outside the USA but in 2020 it was 22%. That's going to create a lot of turnover among the low to mid level talent in the nba. From some other respondents i read usage of the phrase "it seems". Just because something "seems" true doesn't make it so. Interesting question, too bad there is no readily available data on average career length in the 50s-70s to compare with.

Only other guy who ever did it other than Curry is Utah's great scorer in the 80's Adrian Dantley (both of them done it twice in their career). Got the most 20+ pts quarter since such data was firstly tracked in 1996 (passing Kobe just last season after that game where he popped up against Houston in the 4th). Top-5 for this stat is 1) Curry 2) Kobe 3) Dame 4) Harden & Lebron who are tied with 25 such quarters in their career Still holding the record for most points scored in an OT single quarter with that 17 pts against Portland in the playoffs at 2016 Record holder of most ppg in a sweep series which he did on that 2019 WCF against Portland too (36.5 ppg) Amongst the top 50 scorers of all-time (based on total points), Curry got the highest true shooting percentage amongst those great scorers and second only to Shaq in terms of effective field goal percentage (only 0.1 ppg deficit between those 2) Amongst top 10 all-time in terms of finals ppg Amongst players with the highest playoffs winning percentage (only lost to Magic I think in this department) Played with least nba-75 club players amongst other greats (only Kd who's in such category yet ppl always call him got so much helps but never say anything about the other greats who's literally played with more top-tier legendary players themselves). Celtics had it on the hand after game 3, but Curry's 43 points changed the atmosphere of the series, you can compare Curry's 43 to Lebron and Kyrie's 41 41 perfromance to change to tide of the series in 2016 Finals.

To win game 4 is big for any team down 1 game. Once ur down 3-1 the series is likely in the favor of the team up to win

Stephen Curry is so different that you can't even compare him to another player cuz his game is something we haven't seen before he doesn't have magic game he doesn't have Jordan's game he doesn't have Kobe's game none of the athletes that came before him has actually been able to do what he does so there's no category that you can put Stephen Curry in he's his own category just like Michael is his own category

The one thing both NBA players failed to mention about the regular season, is that teams focus is mainly on executing their chemistry offensively, and not so much defensively, because it's not enough time to focus on defense. Which is why we're seeing such high scoring games. The focus is on staying within the teams concept offensively, executing the principles.

I love Al Horford. He's such a good fit in Boston. I really don't know why Boston let him go the first time and I don't know why Philly signed him. I feel like both teams got worse when he went to Philly and both got better we went back to Boston

If Celtics won Game 4, the Warriors would be down 1-3, and the series is basically over from that point. Steph knew that. Steph WILLED a Game 4 Warriors win into existence, and in TD Garden of all places. Steph Curry was already the greatest shooter of all time, but that Game 4 solidified his place as a Top 10 Player of All-Time

The entire point of the regular season is to fine tune a multitude of aspects in preparation to win and beat teams in the playoffs. It is in essence, practice, as AH stated. Otherwise, the regular season is just Harlem Globtrotter entertainment for spectator only sake.

You have title contender, playoff teams and fringe playoff teams. Boston, GS, the Heat and Milwaukee do not care about seeding because they have been through the wars.

Most people have been in college/university or secondary/high school. The regular season is your coursework and the playoffs are your exams. Both are important. You don't necessarily need an A in coursework to perform well in your exams, but the worse you do the more likely your exams will suffer. The very nature of exams mean they have to matter more. Short window of time, little chance to recover from setbacks and no opportunity to make up for them if you lose.

Take 2 things from the warriors comments from al 1-experience, we say it every year in the NBA 2- mental warfare, the warriors knew the Celtics were down and just drove the knife a little deeper by celebrating, they didn't do that for them, they did that for the Celtics to hear it.
