I've read that in 1980-81 season only 1.7% of the players were born outside the USA but in 2020 it was 22%. That's going to create a lot of turnover among the low to mid level talent in the nba. From some other respondents i read usage of the phrase "it seems". Just because something "seems" true doesn't make it so. Interesting question, too bad there is no readily available data on average career length in the 50s-70s to compare with.

The thing I don't like is that he and Steve Kerr showed the league how effective motion heavy, 3pt reliant offenses can be and now the 3pt shot is prioritized over less efficient offense that was just plain entertaining. Maybe it's just because I grew up watching midrange assassins like TMac Kobe Wade etc, but it feels like the game is lacking something when teams are racing to put up 40 3s a night. Top-5 for this stat is 1) Curry 2) Kobe 3) Dame 4) Harden & Lebron who are tied with 25 such quarters in their career Still holding the record for most points scored in an OT single quarter with that 17 pts against Portland in the playoffs at 2016 Record holder of most ppg in a sweep series which he did on that 2019 WCF against Portland too (36.5 ppg) Amongst the top 50 scorers of all-time (based on total points), Curry got the highest true shooting percentage amongst those great scorers and second only to Shaq in terms of effective field goal percentage (only 0.1 ppg deficit between those 2) Amongst top 10 all-time in terms of finals ppg Amongst players with the highest playoffs winning percentage (only lost to Magic I think in this department) Played with least nba-75 club players amongst other greats (only Kd who's in such category yet ppl always call him got so much helps but never say anything about the other greats who's literally played with more top-tier legendary players themselves). I could go on and on about his ridiculous stats that's never even once mentioned in the mainstream media but that's all for now.

What’s interesting is the comments from Andre after that game. He didn’t publicly state it but apparently after game 4 in the W’s locker room he was telling the team that they figured out Boston. The one thing both NBA players failed to mention about the regular season, is that teams focus is mainly on executing their chemistry offensively, and not so much defensively, because it's not enough time to focus on defense. Which is why we're seeing such high scoring games. The focus is on staying within the teams concept offensively, executing the principles.

Most people have been in college/university or secondary/high school. The regular season is your coursework and the playoffs are your exams. Both are important. You don't necessarily need an A in coursework to perform well in your exams, but the worse you do the more likely your exams will suffer. The very nature of exams mean they have to matter more. Short window of time, little chance to recover from setbacks and no opportunity to make up for them if you lose.
