Along with the Los Angeles session authority, it gets impossible to miss. Jarreau in its prime, together with Alex Acuna, George Canning, Jay Graydon, Lenny Castro, Jerry Hey, Bill Reichenbach, Larry Williams, Tom Canning, Richard Page, Carmen Twillie and Steve George, it's just too much to handle. In live TV, with the caliber of these players, how the world changed. I just wanna know what show was this. It's looking from 1981 or 82.
@borderking593 жыл бұрын
The show was “Friday’s”, thinking it was 1982. But yeah wow, these guys were cream of the crop and Al was in top form.
@IronMan-tk8uc3 жыл бұрын
@@borderking59 Yeah, now I know. Some say that some Fridays skits were even funnier than SNL.

@@IronMan-tk8uc oh yeah, I agree. I thought the show was much better and the musical guests were super!

This is the Al Jarreau that my ears fell in love with back in the early 80´s. Just love it, and it is very much like an old recording I used to have from Rockpalast with him and David Sanborn alternating and performing together as well. If anyone can post that I am eternally grateful.

I think that’s Chuck Finley on the trumpet with Jerry Hey. The horn arrangement is better than the albums version. The line up of musicians are pretty epic in this!!
