This steel track really helped make that entire album work for me. It is an essential part of that album in my opinion. There's great songwriting and performances all around to be sure. But that track is as memorable as anything the Stones did to me. Perhaps even the most memorable at least right now, hearing 'Torn and Frayed' again.

Truly this is one of the best tracks on the album and the album itself, now that it is almost 50 years old, has been recognized for some time as probably their best work. I wonder where the recording took place. Somewhere in Texas?
