They risk their lives to keep the Canadian roadways open in all kinds of nasty weather and under very risky conditions. I’ve been watching them on TV over the years. I work for a Kenworth company out of Utah. I was down in Phoenix for training just earlier this week. A new friend and I were talking, he was from the area of Canada that this show is from. He had asked me if I had ever heard of the show Highway thru Hell. I responded with "you mean the Green Goblin?" He smiled from ear to ear and said "yep, you know it!" It wasa fun and humbling experience.

Out west we can get some pretty crazy winter weather, the Canada shows US what's up! My dad being from SoCal doesn't get along with cold weather, however one time in Canada, it was so cold the electric defrosters on his Volvo's mirrors was ineffective!

I think he blew out the drive line to the rear diff. But, I might be mistaken - haven't been down that way for a year & a half, and we don't get the TV show since we no longer have TV, LOL.

The episode when al was pulling a semi up the mountain and then he stopped to also hook to the car pulling a you haul trailer up The mountain anyone watching at that time realized the heart of hard working people like al helping for free folks in need👍👍👍thank you al.

According to the Quiring website, Al's truck is an 85 ton wrecker, Gord's truck is a 50 ton. No wonder Al does the work of three men on his own.

Unfortunately that stat is a hit off, especially when comparing them to other Vulcan V100s which say they're 50 rated wreckers. BTW Vulcan is from Miller Industries that manufactures the same wreckers.

Yes, this is the man and the business who hauled trucks up on Snowshed/ Great Bear / Horsesh..t Hill. I was one of his customers. Al also gave me a crash course on how to drive up the darn hill so I won't need to be towed again. Thank you, sir. Some of us know who was there to get the job done. And who was there for the show

Yes I get these trucks are expensive but al may have no choice but to get new kenworths like his truck is 2007 and were in 2020 he eventually needs to get new kenworth like w990 but instead of 50 ton he may have to get like 60 or 65 ton Vulcan wrecker or at lest w900 same 18 speed urtlra low gear transmission but with 690 horsepower cas wreckers like his are like us they don't last forever but that's my opinion but I think he may have to get new kenworths

That noise was most likely the drive shaft. Always use the winch to pull a vehicle from a stuck position, then raise and extend the boom to put more pressure on your drive tires , if you have to wheel pull it out the rest of the way.
