Growing up as a teenager in the late 1970’s had the best music. Time passages is one of my favorites. Now that I’m older; this song transports me back in time filled with nostalgic memories of high school, football games and hanging out listening to music. Al Stewart is a legend and he puts so much feeling into his music.

Everything about this song is beautiful. Guitars, piano, and sax are phenomenal. So much emotion. And Mr Stewart’s voice is so soft and comforting.

I had a little radio by my bed in 70's and would listed to "Westward One Radio Network." What a magic time to be alive. Time Passages makes a lot more sense now then it did when I was 10.

This performance deserved a standing ovation, I hope they were lauded with one upon their return to the stage/completion of the concert. For many who graduated from high school that year, "Time Passages" initially served the Class of '78 as a 'tool used to guide the pace of our lives'. Unfortunately, the Iran Hostage Crisis took place in '79, sending our lives through turmoil, and tarnishing that 'promised rosy future', only some of which was made up for by the prosperity generated during the latter 1990's. Our sunset has since begun...

This is pretty good for a live version of a song produced by Alan Parsons! Wow, that sax is true to form! By the way, Al would have never incorporated a sax in his music if it wasn't for Alan. After seeing its potential, Al used it extensively in the Album Time Passages.

Yes! And the story goes that Parsons called Phil Kenzie to play sax on Year of the Cat and he was watching a movie and didn't want to leave his house but he came out as a favor, recorded the solo quickly and went back home to catch the end of the movie.
