It still blows my mind having watched this all on the news in 1999 that we successfully demilitarized the world so completely since then and went back to not having super helicopters and massive spider mechs any more.

The music is so good that I brought my cassette recorder and placed it on the arcade cabinet to record it until I completed my playthrough.

That's so awesome! I did that also on my midi set to record music on tape from PS1 games, back then. Also to record my own made music with the Music 2000 "game". Lost them over the years though.

I remember seeing this game once in a beach arcade and was impressed by the opening sequence. It was one of the first game I searched when discovered emulation, but it wasn't emulated yet. Soon it was available on Raine emulator and, later, on Mame. Great memories. As a sugestion, you could do an Air Gallet gameplay, another beautiful shooter.

The weapons of mass destruction were real this time, uh? And not only that, but some proper tropical rainforests in the Middle East. The area surely developed fast after the first conflict. Game is quite cool though, and with some interesting and rarely seen effects in the backgrounds.
I got this on taito legends PS2 this is a very cool game. I especially like how you absorb the bullets to get more bombs. I finally got good enough to finish it on easy mode lol. Onto normal mode 😎
