Yup. Wouldn't mind a modern port to the PC Engine. With the new that have been discovered it looks like most or all the parallax is doable. Probably the colors would take a hit since all these arcade boards tend to have larger color palettes. But anyone talented in pixel art can find some great color matches.

Legendary Axe for the Turbografx-16/PC Engine, which is also a similar game designed by some of the same devs, is an even better game. If you are looking for something like this but more fun and with a much better balanced challenge, that’s the one to play.

Sorry, but absolutely no innovation or charm in this one. Lots of saturated color. (Although that might actually work against creating a foreboding atmosphere...) Cheaped out on repetitive exolotion animations for all desths, INCLUDING bosses. The soundtrack is just awful (both musically and technically), sound effect samples are ear-piercingly annoying, and the constant note-stealing means the musician needed to better work within the chips' number of channels or demand more channels! Clearly derivative of earlier Rygar/Rastan/Black Tiger/Tiger Road (worse than all), and apparently by the same developer as PCE/TGX Legendary Axe (which DID have better atmosphere & charm, plus great soundtrack!) Thanks for the vid, though!
