Luke and Jimmy....Damien Harris is among the Alabama greats, who played under Nick Saban at the height of the Alabama dynasty, and has had a good NFL career. And your saying he doesn't know enough about Alabam football, what makes a good/great quarterback at Alabama; and what it takes to make it in the NFL? Damien has done all those things.

You fail to realize that Ty can run also.. and being a from birth QB, you know he'd be the better passer. Of course there will be bumps and bruises.. plays will be made momentum gained so the defense energy will match the offense energy. Offense stalls, defense follows. This is a sign that Jalen is coming back. And I will not be watching any Alabama football next year if he does. If he isn't coming back he should allow the coaches to pick another quarterback to get all the first team reps and the start in the bowl game. That experience will be invaluable to the players and the coaches next year. If he starts and plays most of the bowl game then leaves for the NFL that would be the most selfish thing he could do.

Milroe is making enough NIL $ that he is essentially a professional. If he's got thin skin and gets his feelings hurt then he'll never make it in the NFL. He's been playing out of position his entire career. Should be a running back or a receiver. Damien Harris spoke the truth.

Kalen Deboer was head coach at Washington last year (2023). They made last year's CFP and made it to the finals. Washington had 4 wide receivers with 400 yards or more in passing yardage. 2 of them over 1,000 yards each. One with about 500 yards passing last year. And the fourth receiver with over 400 yards in receptions. They were all drafted in the NFL 1st round. Germie Bernard was the Number 5 receiver at Washington last year. I don't think Alabama's game plan was to look for only the top 2 receivers.

Jimmy its time to stop making things up to fit your narrative. Michael Penix was not a 6 year starter: 2018: Played 3 games, had 34 attempts 2019: Played 6 games, had 110 attempts 2020: First year as a real starter, only played 6 games due to COVID 2021: Played in 5 games due to a season ending injury 2022: Played in 13 games 2023: Played in 15 games Was Penix more experienced than Milroe? Sure. Did he play nearly as much as you reimagine? No. Milroe is going into his fifth year of college if he forgoes the draft. Even if you don't count the games that Milroe played while Bryce was the starting QB, he still has more starts than Penix did going into his fifth year of football. Excusing his play due to a lack of experience is just a ridiculous thing to say.

Milroe's peaked. His entire problem isn't talent or mechanics. It's processing. He's way to slow. That's why he throws late, holds the ball, blows zone reads, misses blitzes... He can't process quickly enough after plenty of rep's. Sheer talent can cover that for only so long and he's very talented. That 1st down safety against S Carolina is a prime example. Milroe had his TE wide open right across the middle, easy pitch and catch and Milroe held, held, faked the throw while drifting into the EZ. 4 years dude!

@ crazy as hell. When the oline gave him on avg 1.75-2.5 secs to go through progressions is below average for an offensive line which bare minimum should be 4-5 secs. Most passing concepts take atleast 3.5 secs to develop. The way our oline played this season it don’t matter who the QB is; we weren’t going to be a successful passing team. Milroe legs saved us this season from being the laughing stock of college football and Coach Deboer knew that which is why he called more designed runs to give us the best chance to win and for Milroe to protect himself; Tenn game 26 pressures on 43 dropbacks is insane.

That would depend on who that team has played. SMU nor Clemson should be in the playoffs solely due to SOS. All that matters is W&L's. Oh wait!!! They're in because of auto-bids. How utterly stupid. Higher ranked teams with better SOS resumes take a back seat to a mediocre team with a mediocre schedule. Tell me how Clemson deserves to be in with with 3 losses when Bama has better losses all day long. And on top of that, SMU has a loss to a subpar team, loses their conference championship and still gets in over Bama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina. Explain that one. Auto-bids are a joke.

@@tshell4251 They sure are. It used to be that a team really had to play well, every Saturday, and pass a few tests along the way. The regular season was like a long elimination round and typically there'd be 1-3 teams with a claim to be called the nation's best. It worked well for decades. A few bubble teams got left out from time to time, but they over-compensated and now instead of making sure deserving teams don't get left out, they've made a joke out of it by making sure that a bunch of teams that don't deserve it DO get int. Sad, really. Clemson, SMU, Bama, S Carolina, Ole Miss, Ohio St, Penn St....they all had their chances and blew them and none of them should make it in. Try again next year. You realize that Damien Harris is the 9th all time leading rusher in the history of Alabama, right?
@j.akelly9775
@j.akelly9775 2 күн бұрын
That is absolutely ridiculous. Damien was a fantastic back and he was pushed by Josh Jacobs his last year and they shared carries. He was drafted on his own merit. Y’all just say anything on here.😂

@@zacharybinx5443that entire spring Saban refused to announce a starting qb. Remember his dumb cake baking analogy? The cake (who was his starter) was never baked (announced) 3:14 etc. I believe Saban set the stage for the locker room revolt and the players choosing sides etc.

Yall coddle Jalen way too much. He’s basically Jalen Hurts as a freshman with a better deep ball. He’s wildly inconsistent and it’s ok to admit that it’s better for the whole team if Bama moved on from him.

Jaylen Milroe needs to go he doesn’t have what it takes between his ears to be a quarterback. I know that’s harsh, but it’s the truth and the truth will stand when the world on fire We got to have a new quarterback.

I really hope Milroe is gone. This era needs to end. Damien Harris is 100% correct. I get tired of you two defending Milroe, yall need to wake up. So Harris has not been gone long enough to make an obvious observation. ? If Milroe played another 2 years he still could not read a defense and would keep the ball 99% of the time on the read option. As a former player Harris has every right to say the truth.

Nothing Harris said about Milroe is controversial. Milroe has zero chance in the NFL as a QB. Milroe is bad at reading defenses, and a below average passer. If he is truly the best option at QB for Bama then we have a serious problem.

Milroe is not a true QB and held us back, he played RB more than QB! A lot of WR and RB are leaving since it was all about Milroe. Can you imagine this O with Gabriel or Ward? Milroe has no touch, can’t read a D, does not check down. He is a true senior and not improving. There is no way he comes back! The NFL does not want him if Bama does not want him. He is so selfish! Let Ty play the Bowl game, I don’t want to see Milroe again!

Saying that Alabama doesnt need a big-time talented RB or 1-2 O-Linemen who can actually play,is akin to some SFB's saying the moon needs 53 MORE craters. J.U.S.T. not the FACTS maaam. Although I AM VERY high on Kevin Riley,especially if he can play at 205-210... Roberts is average at best in the run game. Above that when he is healthy and he plays with a good,and sound, athletic base. But when he "gets over his skis"? Horrendous. Mostly willing and strong but competes with God-awful technique. And Pass-Pro?🤣🤣 A "Look out" guy a lot.Geno and Pritchett? You cannot win playing guys like that major snaps.Game in and game out. You just cant. Emergency depth pieces possibly. But overall are WAYYYYY below Alabama's standard and what you need to compete.And what is hard to believe are some of the guys we have awarded scholarships to upfront even worse(Bertand,McVay,Montgomery. etc..... Kids who "want to know who their Coach is going to be" is dwindling faster than Kam Harris' campaign funds during election season. Its getting to be less and less important. Saban found that out and then got the hell out of Dodge. Guys like Bond,Downs.....etc..didnt give a shit about Coach. Not in reality. They and their daddy(Gary),at least a large majority of them,only care about the cash.And until it is "Reigned" in,"Corralled",and Guardrails put in place.????? I am now officially convinced that this once GREAT game is swallowing itself whole. We would probably be amazed on the amount of homework already done on guys even BEFORE the Portal opened. I agree with Damien 100% about Milroe. I only disagree about 1 thing. IT is NOT going to ultimately be Jalen's choice as far as Alabama is concerned. He cannot/should not/would not/and 100% WILL NOT be on Alabama's roster again. It can't and won't happen. And not just because he cannot play the position. Its runs a HELLUVA lot deeper than that. And of course he isnt near being an NFL-ready QB.Could he get there somewhere else? I dont think so but what do I know? Hurts did....But he lacks a lot of the qualities Jalen Hurts has and had. As far as Penix/Milroe goes(And I dont get the analogy) or why you go there. I have watched 1000's of QBs on ALL levels of football in the last 60-some off years and Michael Penix's name will NEVER come off my tongue as being one of the ELITE ones. Far from it.And my issues with Milroe have NOTHING to do with the 7-8 fatal football flaws he has to be able to EVER play the position effectively.My issue with him,and state of the game itself(And the ignorant,football-dumb Alabama HOMERS) is the divisiveness that has occurred due to the emergence of Collectives..NIL..And the fact that he(along with others elsewhere) is the poster child in TitleTown for the Inmates running the asylum. The Milroe-Centric(and. ALL the Simpson nonsense) devastation and destruction of some of the great things about the game,that have occurred on this campus. And it started with Bryce Young. Bryce's play was mostly defended. Most of the attacks went elsewhere. Milroe catches most of the arrows. This organization(Including their fans and media)needs to get their heads out of their asses. And they,and we,are asking for more of the same if things dont change when Keelon shows up. The kid is cocky, The kid has been made to believe he is "THE Next Great Thing". The greatest thing since sliced bread. And I will tell you the kid is incredibly talented. And Austin Mack is a VERY gifted 18 year old also. Has this place learned a damn thing? You are NOT going to win a ring without elite QB play. That is a FACT. But you will not EVER win a ring when that person playing the position dominates and devours EVERYTHING else about the TEAM and the locker room. Not happening.We survived in 2017 because we had : 1)3 future starting NFL QBs 2)4-5 NFL RBs 3)2-3 NFL TEs 4)4-5 Stud NFL WRs 5)So many starting future NFL ass-kicking O-linemen,D-Linemen,LBs,and Backend guys that I have lost count. Besides the QBs people wanted to watch the other positions play.And were wildly supportive.Lets get back to that. *
