Hey Brandon, I’m from Tennessee and yesterday I was at the doctors and they operate out of a historic building. I was talking to my doctor and she told me that the owners of the building had pulled up some floor boards and found 3 straight side coke bottles, all fully intact but just dirty. I thought it was so cool and just goes to show how history is right underneath us even when we might not expect it to be. Hope you’re doing well!

Brandon, have you ever considered sending those old whiskey necks to your bottle glass guy to be made into glass guitar slides? It's another way to up cycle antique glass.
@dirtfloormotors

Some of the bottle necks you find may be repurposed for people who play slide guitars. They would have a real nice look to them.

I was born in the 19's as well but quite a few years before you. The green bottle you picked up is "Bubble Up". My mom always would get some whenever my sisters or I were sick, especially if we were having stomach troubles, and let us sip some to soothe our tummies. This was in the very early 1960's.

We had Bubble Up as a kid in the 1980's as well! It was like Sprite or 7-Up if I remember correctly. I'm surprised to see it down south as I was thinking it was probably just a Pacific Northwest thing. How interesting!

My mother was the pharmacist for our small town hospital. They stocked Coca Cola syrup for the pediatric beds to sooth stomachs. Older kids got ginger ale?

The ones that you would need to cut higher up on the neck could be used as a vase for flowers. Like a bud vase. Thought maybe a pencil holder but they might be to tall for that.

Confucius said : A man with a lot of responsibilities ........ Sometimes forgets his rake ! Even when you do not find a lot of "Bottle Gold" your videos entertain. Its pretty amazing the inter-contentedness of today's world : i am not surprised the Folks at Hisea contacted you -They should employ your wife as a model / spokesperson. That over hang was cool, thanks for taking us up there. The deep water pool advice was so noted ( the one created by the long branch ) It reminded me of the video a while back in which you actually scuba dived ! i personally would love to see you do that again. Ahhh Bubble Up ! Memories ......when my three brothers & I were kids during the 70's Nana would give us Bubble Up when we had tummy aches .....Mom hated when that happened cause she said it made her boys "Gassy" ....... Poor Mother I love you Mom !!!

I’m a creek walker for artifacts, glass pottery, etc just north of Atlanta Ga area. I own snake boots and I am of course aware of looking out for copperheads and such. When do you really start to see them come out in your area? I tend to assume that if it’s still getting down to almost freezing cold temps at night that they’re not out yet.
