What’s so disheartening is knowing this young man can shine and he’s not being allowed to. Some of us followed him thru high school and then watched him be turned into a token white boy robot. To see his skills wasted is just sad. This schools band director only cares about showing off t,he young ladies.

Those are common across many schools, I played a similar cadence, and I was in band in high school and college in Alabama. And that "change over" cadence is definitely standard across a lot of schools (middle, high schools and colleges) LOL
