Some Details: I went at 1 PM, and there happened to be a huge heat wave going on. There were warnings on the news and everything. In the video I said there are a couple of locations, I meant in Mobile AL. there are a couple. There are lots of other locations all over, see link: www.moesoriginalbbq.com/ Cheers!

Hey Danny, this place is just too far away from me, Mobile is OVER 500 miles. The closest Moes appears to be 325-350 miles away from my house. I miss good food after we left Illinois (Chicago-Milwaukee-etc. were in our driving range) 12 years ago. I live in FL now where "you can't be too rich or too thin". There just isn't any good food that we've found (yet). I think that they also mean you can't be too tan or too blonde as everybody has that look, LOL! Thanks, Danny. Maybe we'll take a crusie over that a way one day, get some grub, go to a casino, make a little va-cay out of it. Thanks for everything! You rock!

The southern states have great BBQ joints so I am thrilled you were able to enjoy some “ smoked “ food.

As a resident of Mobile, the location you visited is okay, but the Downtown location is where it’s at, especially on weekend nights, where live blues music is played. (Or it was, I’m not sure if they’ve resumed since the pandemic ended) blues and BBQ are absolutely meant to go together!

I'm living vicariously through your videos. I was supposed to be in Mobile this past weekend, but, I had to cancel it. Looks like a great BBQ! I'm impressed that you ate vegetables. The jalapeno popper and cornbread are veggies. I have the same reaction when I eat greens.

thank you for watching and for your comment, I am still having a hard time pronouncing mobile. as mobeeel.. . there must be something in those greens actually if you think about it green is not a good color for the taste... I think it would make more sense if it was black

The south knows how to do BBQ. It looks like you found a really good place to have BBQ. Those jalapeno poppers look really, really good. You can't go wrong with anything wrapped in bacon. Your face when you ate the greens had me literally laughing out loud. Greens are one of those things that can be really delicious or incredibly bitter. At least you tried them.

4:07 [Danny sets down a half-eaten chicken wing] Many, many videos ago, Danny talked about his penchant for NOT eating wings clean to the bone. Ever since then, I'm always anxious when he orders wings because of this. Now, the Tungster always polishes off wings and eats every tender morsel. No doubt his lifetime of chicken feet consumption has enhanced his skills.
@dannythemedic Жыл бұрын
I just don't understand how people enjoy the tough and costly ends of the chicken wings. I mean tough and grits silly grit, silly, gristle, grizzly OK you can tell. I'm trying to use Siri.

WOW ... it looks like you hit the BBQ jackpot. Everything received a solid above average to excellent score. How nice that you had a combo plate, that gave you an opportunity to try several options. The exception, of course, were the collard greens, but then we all know you do not care for most veggies. I'm with you on the greens ... collard greens, turnip greens, even cooked spinach, I'm just not a fan. However, I know it is very popular in the south. I would have much rather have had a small corn on the cob or the poppers or slaw - just a personal preference. Your viewers that recommended Moe's, did you a real solid. Thanx for another awesome food review video Danny. Next time I am in Mobile, Alabama, I will definitely try Moe's. 👍

you really should. There are two moles in Mobile a bigger one downtown that's somewhat more fancy and this place that's what the guy said but downtown you know it's all crowded and perhaps you even have to pay for parking so I chose this one here because the food is the same! I apologize if some of this does not make sense I'm using Siri

This was a reasonable review. Remember when you went to the buffet and they wouldn't let you film so you Illustrated it. That cracked me and my wife up. Once again thank you for doing a review that made sense and didn't infuriate me and take years off my life. However the rolled tacos were ridiculous. You didn't get cheese or guacamole and then acted like they were Bland. That's like getting a ravioli with no sauce. Love the channel keep up the good work

DANNY THE MEDIC- You were EXTREMELY lucky to find this amazing place, I lined up for a HOUR to get into a place in DALLAS so I would be the first customer and they had NO Greens, and NO Bacon wrapped Jalapeno Poppers. What drew me to Chinese cooking with a Wok was how delicious I could make vegetables taste. It is very easy to get more vegetables in my diet cooking that way. I realize that I can't generalize about people from the Chinese culture. But it is difficult to understand your aversion to vegetables.

Danny, you are very brave to go to Alabama. I’m Asian like you and I don’t dare to visit the south like Mississippi, Arkansas and etc. I had a bad experience 7 years ago when I went to Kentucky for a business trip. I told my boss I will NEVER go to any south east states.

You should watch Anthony Bourdain… Mobile / Bayou La Batre has a large Asian population. I should clarify Vietnamese, not all Asians are the same. I am aware I might sound defensive but I will use this as an example… my brother ( white blonde/ blue eyes) played baseball in Japan and Korea, there was A LOT of hostility between the two countries but this has changed . May we all continue to do better and grow. Respect for people works most of the time. possible that you had a bad attitude 🤷♀️. I have found it almost universal that polite and patient can win over most people. I am NOT patient by nature but I have learned that it helps if you want to get along with people and learn about cultures , and get along with people. Ask yourself if you expected a bunch of ignorant rednecks? I can say that I was born in CA and lived all over/ my BF never lived in the USA until after HS and she gets pushed off at the assumptions people make about the south… unless someone said “ Bless your heart” or “ Aren’t you special “ … the former could be a kind sentiment, unless you were condescending and rude.

@@dannythemedic For sure, lots of fantastic BBQ and Soul Food spots in Bama but that's the consensus king of BBQ in Bama. Bob Sykes in Bessemer is another highly regarded one, almost as highly regarded as Big Bob Gibson's. Miss Myra's same thing. Also while it's not Bama style BBQ by any means (It's South Carolina Whole Hog, and it's beautiful) Rodney Scott's in Birmingham is supposed to be ridiculously phenomenal as well. Lil Smokey's in Dadevile is another one worth checking out too. Big Bob Gibson's. Bob Sykes and Miss Myra's are supposed to be the three crowned jewels though, with Big Bob Gibson's leading the pack.
