" Apprenticeship is the nucleus of craftsmanship " was the logo of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Your craft has been passed on for generations. Please don't let it die. I'm in the USA, what a awesome video. The man builds the ladder and shows each step how he does it, an I really love to see the old tools he used to build it. Take for example the ladder rung squeezer or setter, what a great idea the person had when they built that tool. Then at the end showing the cherry farmer using the tree ladder the guy built for him that day. I'm 54 now and as a young man I remember using wooden ladders everyday but not built that way, ones I used were heavy because they had steel support bars at each rung. But this video was a real treat for me this morning to get to watch it all. Thank you so much for making this video and sharing it with the world. Now it can be watched anytime by anyone.

@AlainHospenthal Жыл бұрын

Absolutely, loved this production. Being a tool guy, I appreciate the mix of old tools with new. It's fascinating how a skinny tree can be turned into a needed orchard tool, used to reap a cherry harvest. Cherry cider is the best! All the best from Montana to Alois and his wife.

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, these ladders are unique as they really make use of the original strength of the tree, as it grew, providing the same to a new purpose, carrying a similar amount of weight. Our very best wishes and many thanks for watching.

Vielen Dank!
