Great review! But Korg really made a mistake with a price. They put a good gear in a price category in which there's too many of different and good gear of that kind. If Drumlogue was 399 it would be great. But for 6 hundreds... Also analog part is questionable and sounds like Volca Kick. Actualy it's Volka drums and a Volca Sampler in a box with a huge price tag.

I've been using Ableton with a maschine micro, and a komplete s49 keyboard. It's low-key been uninspiring, and samples don't do it for me with drums. After getting a Behringer pro-1, using instruments with analog compartments just hit differently. I'm leaning toward buying this, the reviews have been iffy, so I also thought of either getting the rd-9, rd-8 or going ahead with electron analog rytm 8-voices used ofcourse. Any advice

Drumlogue has drum/sound design value. The Aruria machines are super limited in that area. I wouldn't even attempt to compare. My fear with the Drumlogue is the simple fact Korg is awful when it comes to fixing bugs and making firmware updates and that's a deal breaker at this price point. These should be priced at $350 max.

the fact that Korg left it for "somebody else" to do... was questionable from the start. I hoped that Korg themselves would do it... but they kinda treated their own creation as a lost cause, it seems

Worst drum machine I’ve ever had. Sold it in a week. USB midi implementation is unusable, interface is terrible and the sounds were completely lacking.

Ouch! I will say, I haven't touched one since this demo. They are getting blown out right now - a prediction I made shortly after it came out. I find that most kits are usable at some point, just have to hit the right price point!
