Lutz Spruce (pronounced loot-s) is a natural hybrid of Sitka and White Spruce. It grows in British Colombia, Alberta, and Montana. This is a great sounding and looking 😂 guitar. Thanks, Cooper and Chris.

I love 8 string baris & baris in general. I wish they made more this size. I think this one (smaller body) actually sounds much better. It has that rich, kind of piano-like range without sounding too boomy

Sounds incredible! Not a huge fan of the tinny highs that some bluegrass folks love, nor am I a huge fan of the boomy sound of jumbo guitars. This is like the perfect balance and those octaves are a great touch.

An "off topic" question: Chris, since you like installing your own pickup in a Taylor acoustic, what brand and which one do you use? I just purchased a Taylor 717 Builder's edition, and I'm researching to see(hear) which one I like. Cooper can chime in too, if he wants. Thanks, guys. Really enjoy your channel!!! God bless!!!

I currently have an Anthem and Lyric installed in two different guitars. I like the Anthem. I went with the lyric in a custom guitar because I didn't want anything under the saddle but it can be a bit thin sometimes. I've considered trying the new Baggs, Hi-fi duet to have both their new silo mic and the bridge plate transducer. I also have a Taylor with the ES2 and I like it just fine when dialed in correctly. - Chris

So this is why a couple weeks ago sweetwater did a recent $600 price drop on Taylor 8-string… sweet guitar.

Do you believe, in hot cars, leather bars and movie stars, is that's what's real? Agree with your CA comments in spirit. They're leaving CA as it has become unaffordable as well as very congested. We've learned not to stop in El Cajon where Taylor Guitar is located for fuel as it's super congested and almost impossible to find a service station an RV will fit into. And every time I drive the 405 there are back ups, collisions, overturned vehicles, motorcycles lane splitting and almost anything else you can imagine. It's like Mad Max. Love the beach and the surf though. Lemme see if I have an extra 7k lying around. PS- We once went through Hollywood on the 101 at 3am in the morning to beat the traffic. I was hoping to see Mel Gibson. No joy. Gotta say, that section of freeway has to be at least 70 years old. And the NBC tower is like a lit black monolith. Space Odyssey, X-Files............. Didn't see Nakatomi Plaza, that's somewhere in Irvine...
