I bought this guitar from them and it's awesome! The koa is beautiful and it's so resonant.

Wayne is amazing on all the guitars! I have the 326e Baritone Ltd and it is plenty of guitar for this first position finger picker.

Taylor's with Wayne Johnson, they all sound great.

Well, Wayne, good points and a typically great, amazing Taylor guitar but...$4,000 for the beginning guitar player might be a little much. On the other hand, it would give that beginning guitar player a nice guitar to grow into as well as a STRONG incentive to keep improving (learning?) ;-) Outstanding demos

Those things don't even BEGIN to sound like my Martin HD28. Not for bass, not for overall sound. AND the top begin built of Koa - that's about as cheap as you can get! And what's the back and sides made of? I've been playing guitar since LONG before Taylor came into existence. My favorite acoustic guitars (which I own both of) are the Gibson J45 and the Martin.

The top is not Koa, it is spruce. Back and sides are Koa.

@@randyduncan5562 Yep, there are definitely different tastes or favorites. I have been in music, both personal and professionally since 1958. Both my Martin and my Gibson are older than the Taylor company, and everyone I know in the music field agrees that the Taylor guitars have a thin, tinny sound. That's all, and like you said, it's a matter of opinion.
