this short little series rekindled my interest and inspired me to start making my own texture pack, and while i was looking for tutorials and guides, i realized yours is probably the most informative and entertaining series on youtube regarding this topic, which is kind of a shame considering how short it is. on the off chance that you end up reading this, i'm wondering if you have any advice on how to manage and not be overwhelmed by the massive amount of textures you need to create for a pack? You should use Optifine for your stuff. It'd make set making, texture creation etc. much more interesting.

i know this is an old post but optifine isnt the best thing to use as it conflicts with most mods/ modpacks and doesnt give much with newer pc's using vanilla, i only likes the connected textures but id rather play with shaders that dont use optifine

Just make your own sound with 3xOsc and export it as a sound file then drag it onto the library and after that you just drag it from the library to the stage

If you use smart objects you can have two documents opened one with your tile and one with a couple of copies of the smart object (open in the other window) tiled to visualize the tiling as you save.

I use paint.net for my textures. It's basically free photoshop for dummies. Has all the essential and some advanced features for texturing.
