This is an intermediate tutorial that covers how I use screenshots to give the illusion of real computer interface movement. I used this method to create the Animator vs. Animation series.

That trick with the gradient (middle point 0% alpha) is AMAZING. colored rectangles without the text changing!!! :D

I too am going to be picky. First I have to say, you are really talanted and I love these animations. But when you hover over the option below the one with the "pop-out" (in this case 'Screen Resolution'), it is not highlighted, which it should in fact be. Anyways, great tutorials!

no. when you take a screenshot, dont paste it directly in flash. goto paint>right click>paste and save it anywhere. and goto flash and click file>import>import to stage and select the bitmap image.

@wong2008a Okay - Strongly advise against this but I think I may have found a crappy way of filling in the cursor. Paint white on a layer below the lines, select it all and convert it into a symbol. It works, but I don't think it's the best solution. X'D

Guys if ur having problems, just paste the screenshot into paint, find flip horizontal, flip it, paste it into flash (after u copied the one in paint) and it should paste in upside down. Rotate it, and then ur good!

A easy way is screen shot desktop with light shot save it import into an animating program and done but you can use different programs then light shot
