I grew up right by this venue,these lakes are pretty new, it use top have a bottom and top lake only, which was poorly maintained, full of weed, but I am going back 30 years ago, the land was split in half and owned by two brothers, theres actually another venue right next door called willowside but I think its closed to public now, whoever is responsible for these lakes now, have heavily invested in them,ive witnessed the transformation of these lakes since a kid, they have done such a brilliant job in making it the venue it is today!

The Canada Geese at 10.00 had a massive brood of goslings. Must be a good year for water birds. I know here in Oz at my local lake there's a pair of Black Swans with four signets. Great vid loved seeing some smaller fish too, shows we all love catching carp for the challenge, not just the trophy!

Got excited over this when it first started as I could get to see how you guys approach a 24 hour session, but in reality it wasn't quite that. Most venues don't allow stalking so I was looking forward to seeing how you fish just one swim with no swapping. Hats off to you though, 9 fish in 24 hours (and 3 minutes 😝) was a very good effort and it was enjoyable to see. I just hope some of the others show a one swim approach. P.s. to all the single women commenting, Alan loves you long time 😄

Was this filmed during lockdown? No other anglers in sight! Hardly a typical day ticket water to be fair, looks like the whole complex has been booked out for alan. No doubting hes a top angler but with all those lakes to yourself youve got to expect to smash it! Its just not real day ticket angling though is it, multiple empty lakes and being able to move around freely. Come to day ticket waters near me when theyre open, be a different story all together!

Um tbh it's a little disingenuous the lake is Day ticket technically but you have to pay a yearly membership of £30 and then buy a day ticket for the lake of choice. So had I turned up and fished like this it would have cost me the £30 plus a day ticket for EACH of the lakes he fished as I'm lead to belive that each lakes ticket is not transferable.
