Thank you for the beautiful performance. I am a huge fan of Hovhaness music. Would it be possible to email me the score? I can't find them anywhere. Thank you so much!

Thank you for listening and commenting, Cezar. I am afraid that I no longer own the score for these lovely, poignant folk songs. I hope that somehow you can nevertheless find the score and will enjoy playing them! Yours, Jeffrey

Sheet Music Plus has the Edition Peters score for a reasonable price (about $12 as of this post). Some online resellers are asking for $30 to $70, possibly for original editions. :/ Also found Mountain Idylls on Wise Music, and Sketchbook of Mr. Purple Poverty at J. J. Pepper. All hard to find. Some libraries have them, but Hovhaness died relatively recently, so photocopying an entire opus is a copyright violation.

Do you have the titles of this songs, Jeffrey? I recognized only tree songs by their names. Others are very familiar melodies, but I couldn't remember which songs are they (execuse me please, for my bad English). 1. Karmir fstan (Dance-song from Mousa ler), kzbin.info/www/bejne/r2GZlqdridqZftU 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Bari luso astgh erevats (Goutani yerg), 02:58 kzbin.info/www/bejne/q5WzYqmupat6ebM 7. Inchou Bingyole mtar?, 03:35 kzbin.info/www/bejne/nnmXqaN9e7SIes0 8. 9. 10. 11. 12.

I am afraid that Mr. Hovhaness did not write the titles in the score, so I do not have them. I, like you, would be interested to know the titles. Unfortunately, Martin Berkofsky, a friend of Hovhaness, has died. I wonder if he would have known. Your English is excellent. Best wishes, Jeffrey

Thank you very much again, it was very interesting for me, mr. Jeffrey. Unceasing I listen your performance as it is very native to Armenian soul. I am sure, I shall recognize some songs too and write here. Greetings. :)
