Among Alans laundry list of accolades are 60 million albums sold, 50 Top 10 songs (35 of them reaching Number One) and 16 CMA Awards, along with numerous other trophies on his crowded mantel ♥️ Alan is 63 years old now 🎶 He’s a country ICON

This is probably my favorite love song because he sings about the good and the bad! Most love songs only talk about the good part, but real love isn't like that! ❤️

I love how he uses the mandolin so wonderfully in most of his videos...its just beautiful...just like his songs...wholesome family oriented songs about real life...about the life most of us secretly dream ours would or should be like...its a shame the world today no longer takes the time with things going at such a fast pace to take time to enjoy and notice....things that would make a difference in the world are being erased...things we should take time for like family and simple moral values....maybe all of us should start thinking about all of this on a daily basis instead of everything bad.

This last July my wife and I celebrated 38 years together and 37 years of marriage. We experienced many of the subjects mentioned in this song (being each other's first, hard times, good times, raising 3 kids, hurting each other, loving each other, seperation, reunited, old ones dying and new ones born, kids leaving home, grandkids coming along, etc.) In relationships there are good times rejoiced, but there are also bad times too. The goal, weather through the tough bad times and work at them together so you can come through the other side to better times to enjoy. Too many times people don't put the effort to work through the bad and grow into better times. Anybody that says love and commitment is too much work is fooling themselves. Anything worthwhile in life requires hard work.

🙄 Umm.... YES!! His catalogue is MORE than worth diving into!!🤗 He has hits spanning over 30 years. Don't worry, he has a TON of fun ones like "It's Five O' Clock Somewhere" with the legendary JIMMY BUFFET!! One of my favs is "DRIVE (for Daddy Gene)".... And nice try, you were sooooo NOT about to cry, that was funny though!!🤣😂🤣 And holy crap, TRUST ME.... parents (Mothers particularly!!) ABSOLUTELY care when their kids move out!! As much as we are relieved that they're grown enough to spread their wings.... it SUCKS and breaks our hearts a little!! Hope you get to experience all the joys (and heartbreaks too!) that come with being a parent. There's no tougher yet more rewarding job on earth!!😊 Glad you liked ur intro to Alan Jackson!! Thanks for throwing a little bit of Country music into the mix!!! Btw, this is a typical Country song, newer Country is a bit different but is equally as good too!! IMO😁 See ya on the next one!!😎❤

Been married 25 yrs. Not a fantasy world. Probably not gonna find it now days but it was once a common thing. Didn’t have a spare dime when we got married but worked hard together made a great life together.

The song was written before the "Hook-up " generation polluted the beauty of making love with someone you are truly in love with . It is a beautiful thing , and well worth waiting for the right time . I am one of the blessed to have a marriage that has made me a very happy man . Having a God centered life is the secret !

Actually, it does exist for a lot of people. And children are not the Devil. Some people are hard hearted, probably caused by being hurt. But life, love and family is like this to a lot of people.

This is an autobiographical song, and you’re right- it’s not all sunshine & rainbows. But it’s all worth it. Alan & his wife have been together since they were very young. He says: You were young, so was I: We made love & then you cried… Having grown up in the South I’ve always taken that as almost a guilt thing- she felt like she’d done something wrong back at that time. Just how I interpreted it but maybe wrong🤷🏼‍♀️ They only recently shared they’re going through and facing some tough times with Alan’s health. I suspect they’ll face it like they have everything else: together & tough. Thank You for reacting to this; SUBSCRIBED!!❤️ Try Alan’s Sissy’s Song and also I Don’t Even Know Your Name😊 Stay safe & love much💖

The point of the video/song = It's (Love/marriage) is NOT like a fairy tale/movie. That is his wife (& children) in the video. This is Alan Jackson's own story He is with his High School sweetheart (41 Years) As stated in the song they broke apart (he cheated) but got back together/fought for the relationship ("found the trust")......

When you said fantasy world you are exactly right. I’ve been married for 35 years and at the beginning yes you had all those wonderful fire works feelings, but then life happens and then you really have to work on it. But I think you’re right it’s definitely fantasy. Not real life. Marriage is hard!!!!!!

You can't chose when you'll meet the person you want to be with and fall in love with, whether you're rich or poor. I agree it's probably harder to live with less money and I give credit to those people who stick together in spite of obstacles and hard times. I also agree with you about those stupid romantic movies that are nothing like real life. I think I'm the only chick who doesn't like chick flicks lol. Good review. Thumbs up. If you want to get into another great country song, Jamey Johnson - In Color. You might cry.

Marriage is ordained by God, and He means it to be forever. If you think women do not cry after making love, you are in error. I have been there. What makes it emotional and touching is that love expressed in sex is the fulfillment of what God planned: Two become one flesh. And this is both literal AND figurative. When a couple purposely act in union for life, they have this joy in looking back over the blessings love has given them. And not every child is "the devil." Young people who love the Lord and their parents naturally want their own lives, and leaving home is part of it, but they can leave with their parents' blessings.
