Why is it okay for other teams to want better and media jumps on it but when it’s West Ham wanting better it’s always “ you could do worse than Moyes” Man U could do worse than ten hag but just because it’s Man U there’s all the uproar around him and how Man U could do better. Always top 6 bias. We’ve spend over 400mil on very talented international players but we play 11 men behind the ball and set up “not to lose”. Our players are shackled and not playing to their strengths. Why is it so bad for fans to want to see our players actually play football.

Yes, its not the most attractive football, I get that, but for years I went home and away with West Ham from Lyall to Bilic and saw many great players and teams but would regularly get blown out away, I saw multiple 7-1 and 6-0 defeats, I saw 5-0 defeats in the old 2nd division, yes saw some great victories the majority in London, so almost home but a few up north but what did it get us? The bragging right at the weekend. I'm being told by 30 years old about the West Ham way, they never saw the West Ham way, yet are using that as tool tom try and get him out. When Bilic was kicked into touch Moyes rode in on his White Horse to save the day. Then got kicked to the kerb, then he did it again after Pellegrini, is one of Only 4 managers in our History to win a Major trophy, the likes Of Bonds, Redknapp, Pardew(Although we all know he should've), never won a trophy, Pardew came the closest, the only manager in West Ham history to get us in to Europe 3 years running, I have to ask the so called West Ham fans out there what do you prefer, good football never win anything and go down occasionally or what we have now? If you say the former you're an idiot.

Really they want great football AND winning. Apparently it's dead easy. Moyes isn't interesting enough to these people, they want style over substance, however they believe the style will automatically be just as successful. What Moyes has achieved over the past 4 years is objectively quite incredible. Under Pellegrini we dominated the ball and couldn't create a shot on target. The same people moaning now, will be moaning at the first sign of trouble under the next manager, even if it's somebody they want.

@@gabrielmartinez4641 He reached the FA Cup final with Everton in 2009 and he won the FA Community Shield with Manchester United in 2013. There you go, two examples not including the past year. Moyes also won the Europa Conference League with West Ham last season and I don't see why that shouldn't count towards the criteria of winning silverware or going on cup runs. Furthermore, Moyes also got to a League Cup semi-final with Manchester United in 2014, another League Cup semi-final with Everton in 2008, and a Europa League semi-final with West Ham in 2022. So overall you've now been provided with 6 separate examples of Moyes either winning silverware or going on a significant cup run. What do you have to say to that?

@@mcgot2good Fair enough, you’ve given me a few examples in a career that, again, has lasted over two decades. By the way, the inclusion of the Community Shield is a bit of a stretch considering it’s a friendly trophy (to most people), and Moyes was only there after Fergy won the league the year prior. Even with all that you have provided, I am still highly unimpressed with what Moyes has achieved. Managers like Brendan Rodgers, Unai Emery, Roberto Martinez, and many others have achieved more with either the same or less resources than what Moyes has had throughout his career.

I only gave you the examples because I found your ignorance of Moyes’ career amusing. I agree that there are better managers than Moyes. Of the examples you gave however, I wouldn’t say Roberto Martinez is a better manager despite his FA Cup trophy won. I think Martinez is clearly worse honestly. Unai Emery is definitely a better manager. Brendan Rodgers is debatable, it could be argued either way but I’d probably lean slightly in favour of Rodgers. Also, the community shield is not considered a friendly match. It is a competitive match and if won, will feature in lists of honours won. We all can agree it is not a major piece of silverware. You can attempt to detract and devalue it all you like to support your weak argument but it is still silverware and that’s what the criteria was in the original question posed. You can’t just move the goalposts now because your initial argument doesn’t suit you anymore and because the facts do not reflect it.

I cannot think of another manager in history of football plays so defensively deep in every single game yet lets in so many goals...can you? West Ham have traditionally been tight arsed with money yet Moyes got cash in spades. £465,000,000. No other hammers manager came even close to that. John Lyall would have won the league with half that. Moyes now complains it is not enough....and that we are incapable of challenging the top 6: Pitiful. His management skills, on and off the field are non existent and detrimental to everyone at the club. Sir Fergie giving Moyes his personal recommendation at Man U was Moyes downfall, because Moyes truly believes his own delusional hype ("winning is what I do") and has been living in cloud cuckoo-land ever since. Poor sod.
