Woh..Can't believe i've just come across this ! Been absolutely obsessed with Skipping since discovering it a couple of months ago..Fantastic to see Alan breaking it down like this..There's something about the atmosphere it creates that's like a magic spell to me..Strange & beguilling..Soooo timeless, evocative & creative..Billy's vocal line & the haunting keyboard line really add to this as well as the amazing chord progression n bass/drums....Thanx so much for the inspiration ! :)

A simply amazing song I've been loving it since I first heard Sulk almost 40 years ago now. Love the bass part especially. Blasting it in the car at 6am this morning on the way to my miserable job FML.

Such bizarre and magical chords. John McKenzie (RIP) introduced me to this song 'only' 15 years ago. It was his favourite Associates song at the time and it instantly became mine. Thanks for the breakdown Mr Rankine, just wish the video was longer!

Skipping is so discordant, I absolutely love it and it's one of their best

In 1982 I was living in Penny Lane, Liverpool, but wasn't listening to the Beatles. Sulk was on my record player all the time. But back in those pre-internet days I knew almost nothing about the Associates except for occasional snippets in the NME. So it's taken me 40 years to see how this music took shape.

Help a beginner: does the song start Bm to B7sus2, C to C7sus2? I suck at this, but really want to learn how they did it.
