Some people have a kind of ADD that makes them unable to track things that aren't fast paced. Others just Whoosh!! miss the joke entirely. And yeah, not too many folks under 40 gonna catch a Jack Benny reference, lol.

I wonder earth the applause on this show is recorded and dubbed in or maybe just one track is played for the host and others to hear and react to as if it were a real audience present. Even with a crew member in front of the audience I can't think they would cheer and applaud exactly on the time starting and then tapering off so quickly as though they were cued. However audience noises however created here, they are extremely irritating to the flow of the show although they seem to please the host.
