Here, here, thank you Mark. I was in college in the late 60s and was involved in the peace marches, folk festivals, coffee houses, but somehow never heard of your father until I stumbled upon one of his lectures on KZbin about 4 months ago and was instantly hooked. I've since listened to every lecture I could find of his on KZbin and listened to compilations on Audible. There was something unique about your father's lectures that drew you in and made one want to listen to the same lectures over and over. I may have listened to several of his lectures at least 20 times each and never tired of them. I think his entertaining style and wit, and his glorious laugh and verbal gymnastics, were a big reason for this. Thank God the audios of these lectures were preserved. Even in their rough form they are spellbinding. It is so wonderful that you are again bringing these lectures to us and it is so interesting to hear of his early childhood and education, and his pursuit of spirituality around the world. You are a great credit to your father. He would be very proud of you. Thank you!

Abosolutely! Thank you for keeping his work out there and available. He was a great influence in me in my young life and like the mentors whom I knew personally he helped mold the life I would make. Though I must say he should not be held responsible for my failings any more than anyone, but myself should be. I have had great ups and downs in my life, all, in hindsight, because of my own freely made decision. Sadly, not every decision I made was best for me or others in every case in the long run, but at the time felt right with no intention of hurting anyone. I was simply short sighted in the consequences of my actions, or perhaps I thought I understood better the world then than I do now. Lol. If only I still new everything like I did when I was 17. Now at 60 I only know how little I know now, and thus how very little I knew when “I knew it all and better than everyone else”. Oh, what fools we can make of ourselves. And what entertainment we must be to our greater self, the Brahman, that which IS, the great I AM. I am not afraid of the coming of the time to return home and be in on seeing myself through the many eyes that remain and are to come as parts of that great light split off for a chance to experience love and loss, joy and sorrow, life and death as a return to the great self. It is through listening to these recordings that I’m able to recall what I did know, and how I got here, and why there is no reason to fear the dissolution of this body and a return to that which, in some ways, I never left. Thank you for keeping your father’s thoughts pouring forth. May you and yours, and those at the Be Here Now network (a worthy legacy from another great man, Ram Dass) have a bountiful and successful and joyful new year in 2022. With Metta, JTI

Thank you, Mark Watts, for recording and sharing your father's talks. It is amazing that nearly 50 years after your father's passing, his comments are still compelling and relevant - truly timeless. His ideas, I feel, are needed now more than when he was alive. These recordings are a real gift - thanks again, Mark Watts. All the best.

I beat a heroin habit (of years n years) because of going to a long term treatment in Queens for 8 months and Alan Watts and Ram Dass I believe helped my brain heal in such a profound neural connective way. Much love Mark. Thank you for all you do. I love all you and I thought I was evil. I did bad things in my old life. Im a really kind soul and those 2 humbled my impulsive destructive ways. I have maybe 3 friends that havent died from opiates. 3 passed in the past month. Over 30 are gone. Nothing eases that pain. But I accept it. Life is just so precious and if any of you ever need a shoulder or a person to talk to bc your down and out you please reach out. We are all so connected (when we dont fall for Oz.) Sorry. Passionate rant lol

Following the success of the Way of Zen, which I devoured as an undergraduate back in the late 60's, I became upset with Watts for appearing to have succumbed to commercialism - hair grown long, robes, lots of books coming out. Observing that happening was as disappointing as it was to watch Dylan go electric! Fifty years later, I'm loving all of the lectures of his that I can find and I am grateful that I've been given this additional opportunity to benefit from what he had to share. Watts had learned the joyful lesson of how to not take himself too seriously and how to have fun with living. I hadn't learned that yet. All of the props I watched materialize around him were but joyful ornaments of Watts' self-awareness doing its happy dance. He had learned from the Gurus that he studied how to be a joyful rascal! Bless him! And I do so very much appreciate getting to bask once again in his rare and inimitable lucidity! This is the good stuff! Thank you, Mark, and to all responsible. Neil Hundtoft

I've been listening to your father for a couple of years now, and I honestly had no idea he passed in 1972. So many times I've felt like he was speaking to me in present time. Even as I write this while failing miserably to hold back tears (the video is still playing in the background) and he made the comment of "eyes getting in the way". Then he goes into the subject of emotions which is applicable because presently I'm experiencing a very emotional state. Even now he's still speaking about things significant to me. I'm beginning to question my own sanity because of the consistency of this ongoing continuance of him addressing various concerns that are presently active in my consciousness. The odds of this experience of repetitive pattern are absolutely astronomical, and absolutely impossible to be coincidental. Which compels me to wonder if this is just some kind of psychosis or schizophrenia right before he says, "You may think I'm speaking to some schizoid universe..." in which he teaches that we are (the I AM) the Universe so it applies to self as being God. Which the response in connection to that had a sort of a comedic effect that cheered me up a little. It's rather unbelievable, and without a doubt some kind of synchronization. As if he's synced to my thoughts. I had to stop the video in order to finishing writing this without it happening again. I'm sure you're already aware of this, but your father is very alive today, here in the now, still teaching and helping thousands of people awaken all across the world listening even this very second. He's conquered death many times over because even now so many years later he's still actively being a Guru for literally thousands of people and counting. He's seemingly more active in the world than ever before. I can only imagine how grateful and incredibly amazing you must feel to be able to say that you're the son of the legendary Alan Watts. A true Immortal.

just know there are no coincidences in the Universe, only "a happening", and so , we say, in the Native American way, that we are all Related, connected, through our ancestors, and that brings us all to the center of here and now.....Amazing how many similarities, between the ancient hunting cultures there are.......the ancient Chinese, and the ancient American , shared many things in common....the Great Mystery, the Great Void, the Tao, is all the same......Seeing ourselves, as simply, being a part of the Universe, connected, is not any different than the understanding of Life the master of Tai Chi sees.....in the Oneness of All Being......the same.......So do not feel alone, do not feel like you are going crazy just because you are starting to wake up to the reality of the Connection you have to the Universe...... It is all you... You are all It.....Relax, enjoy the ride, the spectacle, the Rainbow......You ARE the Rainbow, in a real sense, because as science teaches us, the rainbow would not even exist, if we were not here to see it, it is "in our mind", yet, it is there, out in front of us for all to see, (as long as they are standing near to us to see it too)...

I love it how when u hear a talking i can instantly go check the year it was spoken...an i know it was 60 to 90 years ago...u can taste an feel tje genuine voice an audio...of truth of a friend giving real advice...when they say...look here at this u know this is a lie....an here we see this truth...not like today where all are trying ti sell u all...all the time hiding the truth as long as they can....peace to u and peace to all...

Thank you, Mark. It does my heart good to understand the history of much of what I’ve been listening to by your father. I love his wish at the end to learn to do this without a body. His humor and brilliance radiate on lighting our way. You’re so very right. He has figured out how to do it🤩
