One of the most beautiful things about the internet that we often forget is how it makes great teachings like these so readily available. Any time we want, on our phone, our computer, our TV, we can pull up something like this and have such a beautiful perspective given to us. Thank you so much for uploading this. What a lovely way to start the day. I hope all of you watching this are doing great.

He is not wise as is perceived. He is deceptive and I think even he knew that. The spirits that used him to confuse people were deceptive. These are vain philosophies. The darkness fears the exposure of light Light pursues to vanquish it We all have a soul Originates from the same source ..but we each have our own identities May you truly awaken one day May your heart detect deception in all forms.

Tell me more? This is a dilema. One of the biggest question i have. Is everything balanced and how it should be? Beings that suffer deserves? Need to pass thst? Seem unhuman and unfair, but we are babies of understsnding. Why thigpngs are like this? Rich and bad people ride yatchs for fun while people and animals die for cold, hunger, disssters? Thigs are how gods wants? How universe works? How this place of universe is programmed and inclined to be? isk. Do we need to know that? Probably Yes, how? Many ways.. So many... books, prays, experiences, researches, meditation. But this is all controlled by the gods !! Or you think you are the one in control? We can chose what to do, but not how to do, for what and how, the universal mind is beyond. Where do you think, where is ur consciouness? On the head, on the harth, on the brain? No, its everywhere. We are everything but control and observe a small ammout of attoms groupped. Yeah, it can be everything. So may we expand our perception and observwtuion and act how gods want, and not how our ego immersed on illusion thinks what is best or not. Anyway. May these immature words arrive welland shine bright. Om. Shanti. Om (lots of typos but im tired lol)

@@gribwitchif you were omniscient wouldn’t you be bored? Everywhere at once so you can never actually be anywhere, no trials and suffering sure but by extension no accomplishments or any pleasure. From a human perspective that sounds like hell. I might just be willing to accept all the evils in the world so that I could have a chance at experiencing the good. God is beyond good and evil and so are we.
@gribwitch
@gribwitch Ай бұрын
@@JPsL4DD3R "...Everywhere at once so you can never actually be anywhere,...". Omniscient = all knowing. Omnipresent = being everywhere at once. I think you meant the latter. Not experiencing evil is not only possible but is our NATURAL, ORIGINAL way of being ! If you agree with me that living in a state of perfection makes one happy, then you have just described the Garden of Eden. God made that environment perfect. We had everything we needed. All was provided. Did God then, mean for us to be bored in it ? No, He knew that we would flourish because that was His intent ! There was NO EVIL back then. Which PROVES we DO NOT need duality and the suffering that goes with it. The reason we don't have that paradise now is because Man, through Eve, became aware of evil - after GOD SPECIFICALLY WARNED HER NOT TO ! We can get back to that, for those that make it to 5D - which will be a literal re-creation of heaven ( Garden of Eden ) on earth. But in the meantime we have to put up with this 3D shitshow.

"Eleventh, and the last - Alan Watts’ The Book. I have been saving it. Alan Watts was not a buddha, but he could be one day. He has moved closer to it. The Book is tremendously important. It is his testament; his whole experience with Zen masters, Zen classics… and he is a man of tremendous intelligence. He was also a drunkard. Intelligence plus wine have really created a juicy book. I have loved The Book and I have saved it for the last. Do you remember Jesus’ saying, “Blessed are those who stand at the last”? Yes, this book is blessed. I bless it, and I would like this series of sessions to be in memory of Alan Watts."

I agree with your praise of Watts. His manner of speaking and voice tone are engaging and what he speaks of is practical living. My sense is that he was sharing his philosophy when majority of society were not prepared to listen. He speaks with such confidence and eloquence even though he had struggles with Christianity, infidelity and alcoholism. I contemplate on his teachings that actually help me to challenge against those 3 aberrations. Cheers Jim

In Vedanta it is said that all we need to understand is what knowledge is i.e I am limitless whole and complete fullness and what ignorance of that fact is i.e I am small, inadequate, incomplete and made up of parts. The only “thing” which isn’t a thing but is rather our true nature - partless, limitless adequacy - that is capable of knowing the difference is me “pure existence shining as consciousness/awareness”. Therefore I am neither dualistic nor non-dual I am the reality which is prior to any concepts.

There’s a Buddhist saying. “A person never steps in the same river twice” My understanding is that every experience produces some change in us, however small. Even you commenting is indicative of your responding because of your hearing him speak. For me, I remember snippets of a talk that may be voiced by another speaker months hence, then it makes more sense and logical. As another responder said, change comes from within. It challenges our self image and we change when we are prepared to be curious and are rewarded with the positive outcomes. Have a good life. Best regards, Jim

The thing he forgot with the fish example is… in order to have a game you usually have contest. And there is nothing wrong with a football game. The issue is when we play evil and especially covert games with malice and no morals or ethics or responsibility is taught in schools. Mostly these evil games are lead by sociopaths. But our society could greatly benefit from teaching these things instead of just training factory workers and drones. I do love how there was so many interesting thinkers back in the 1900-1960. Great video. I feel like the west just became so close minded and less free thinking on reality as the society goes more towards science is god and the answer to all despite it not being able to answer life of anyway.

i have an argument for sunya: Why can not both exist or not simultaneously regardless of their neutralizing relationship? the sunya relationship of many things is a logical perception disorder within the reasoning of the human mind. one figures since one exists, the other must exist as well because of one existing to begin with. but in reality; both exist because they just do, regardless of how you perceive them. if you didn't perceive one, then you'd not ever perceive the other as well. this being the case, the viewer would either perceive both or neither, and the reasoning of the human mind tries to grapple with the logical reason of why both would exist by separating the two.

I don't know why I don't get it. Have been trying to find peace within me for along time. There is something blocking the view and I think in a way that I don't believe in it for the moment. Sometimes I belevie in it and can see it sometimes it's just dark

If you are trying to find something you accept that you are lacking it. You cannot get it by doing something or by not doing something. You just realise you already have it. Or you dont. It is part of the game too. No need to worry about it and if you do worry about it, it is alright too. Once you understand there is nothing you can do you just watch. Not just what is going on on the outside but also what is going on on the insdie. Just watch. So simple yet no one does it

Most people that have awaken have accumulated an enormous amount of suffering and this is what finally cracks them open. They don't realize there are these opposing forces (Yin & Yang) in the universe and in us. Everyone expects and wants life to always be good (Yang) and without problems, but life will always challenge us in the form of conflicts (Yin) Another way to awaken is to begin by observing all your thoughts and emotions. When you are able to step back from your thoughts and emotions instead of being controlled by them like an unconscious person you will begin to awaken. There is a great audio book on the Tao Te Ching (which is where Yin/Yang originated )narrated by Steven Mitchell free on KZbin.

The knowledge of Good and evil, come from the same fruit, the same experience. Its the observer who chooses what to pay attention too, but again thats choosing a side, so one must simply be aware and acknowledge the unity as it is. Then its your free will to play or take away, the choice is ours, without evil how would you know your actions are loving in nature? The dance...the knowledge is necessary, so one may color inside the lines.

Everyone trying to prove him wrong with “you can see both” no you can’t lmao, you are just focusing on each object quickly. Even if you make the image smaller to force you to focus on everything, you won’t, you will see either two heads or a cup. It’s only when you thinking “oh that’s a cup but oh wait it could also be two heads” is when you start to “see both”. But you aren’t seeing both you are just quickly switching between them. Once you seen a double lift, you always see the double lift. You originally saw the heads or the cup, and then thought “oh it could also be” and only after that is when you were fillipoing between them so fast it seemed to by simultaneously

After a deep breath and relaxing... allowing focus to fade... with a desire to See... both images become perfectly clear together... It's a wonderful exercise ~ I'm attributing youth to the fact Alan doesn't See this for himself ~ and maybe he never will... it appears that we have slightly to vastly different paths, different results, different areas or levels of Clarity and various degrees of Awakening or "Enlightenment"

Maybe two perfectly matching faces are holding a white cup between them that also happens to be a perfect match to the faces. Since there is no such thing as two perfectly matching face profile, that is a picture of a cup.

Good and evil are subjective and implicit in life from all times, from the Bible to a law enacted last week are proof of this. It is motivating to know that each individual feeds and receives feedback from the "system" according to its essence, but it is also devastating when for one reason or another it is your turn that the "greatest" with all the crap it camouflages has an impact on your results in life. Be careful: I am not saying that I hate the system (although I do) what I am saying is that it is inevitable that this system is comprised of good and evil, black and white, good and bad; as this great philosopher Alan Watts would say.
