I found the section where Watts talks about how we might actually 'wish' for challenges to create excitement in life incredibly thought-provoking. It makes sense-without obstacles, life would be predictable and dull. The notion that we intentionally lose control, only to rediscover it later, resonates deeply with me. It shifts my mindset from seeing hardships as external forces to viewing them as integral parts of personal growth and self-discovery. What an insightful and freeing perspective!

37:39 actually the planetary motions are more simple and it's quite profound. If you map the movement of the planets with earth in the center, each path is unique, but fits perfectly, and I mean perfectly, into toroidal geometry.
