Alan is just gorgeous. Such a nice, talented and handsome guy. I love it, how he used to explain all this stuff with his smooth and quiet voice. It's nice to listen and to watch him doing this things. You can see, he enjoyed to show some of DM's work and had fun with it. He could be a very good teacher. He has so much patience. Really cool, I like that.😙

He was perfect in performance. I have never seen one handle keyboards with such ease as he did. Maybe Rudess from Dream Theatre , but I already see him more nervous in maneuvering.

We would all love a music teacher like Alan, but the problem is that most of us would not be focusing on the music, for the obvious reason. (Gorgeous man, all I could think about is:- how handsome you are, you really are a dish, when can we get married?) (Only in my dreams, ofcourse, he would never marry me - entirely out of my league, but so distracting to look at, can't focus on anything else, even the music), (especially the music!!). ❤💘💥

That's an incredibly interesting question! What would have most likely happened is that Dave would become the chief song writer, so Dirty Sticky Floors, Nothing's Impossible, Kingdom, etc. would be the kind of songs Depeche could continue with. Add Alan's arrangements and synth wizardry to the Gahan songs, and they would be much better, probably even big hits. Martin's lyrics and chord structure would be missed, but Depeche Mode would sound fricken great! Martin is the king of slow ballads. Without Alan, DM loses their best beats, rhythms, and amazing sounds. Without Martin, the song complexity drops a bit, but the band would sound so much better than they have. It's also possible that Alan would contribute some song writing, but I think Dave would truly run with it!

@@vanillacaffelatte That only confirms Fletch´s lack of diplomacy and gratitude. Alan was the odd one? Yeah, he refused to party and rather spent 14 hours a day working on an album. Martin never badmouthed Alan. Neither did Dave. I had the opportunity t ask Anton about Fletch´s work in the band. He said, "He is Martin´s best mate." That is the only reason for his being in DM
