Wow. I love when an act defies expectations and even when you start to realize "how" it is done (broadly), it builds to the point you wonder "how" such skill was possible. I think P&T need a "Wow'ed Us" trophy for tricks where the secret is entirely secondary to the performance.
@MikkoRantalainen
@MikkoRantalainen 2 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea. Trophy for "awesome performance of tricks that P&T could figure out but couldn't perform themselves" would be quite a mouthful but this performance would totally deserve it.

I love that in the beginning I thought "I can see where this is going." but then it built more and more on to it until I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Fantastic routine! I wish the editing didn't cut away so much as I'm sure it's even more impressive all the way through.

I like it when magicians don't explain what they are doing, or what's going to happen, and just let the trick speak for itself. Great performance, very smooth and so creative. Well done!

@@bunzeebear2973 And the magician who walked off did? She probably still has it. Some people do things like that all the time. Their homes are filled with pens, pencils, cigarette lighters etc., that they borrowed from people and forgot to give back. Magicians are particularly adept at making things disappear. Including microphones.

@@zakmartin Very doubtful. There are people backstage ushering her around and taking the $400 mic back from her. Production on a show like this involves legions of people, everywhere, all the time, and that mic would be accounted for long before the next shot began.

I prefer the extended version of this act as shown in your other videos, because the tricks just keep coming. Many magicians come on Fool Us and do one trick, often a typical variation of pick-a-card. This is a _concerto_ of tricks.

An absolutely stunning routine. The segment with the multiple hands really had me stunned. I was also impressed by the quick head removal and reattachment (even if I caught the switch). I have to say, one illusion I would love to see would be someone removing their head (or another person's), having it talk and interact with what's around them, and then reattach it.

I've said this for many years about magic. It would be great to see more women magicians doing acts designed for women. That would be using props that women normally use. Doesn't mean they can't do the regular tricks but there's a whole world of magic open to women that's being massively underused.

The routine itself its entertaining, dont get me wrong, i liked it. So as a show, it can sell. But come on, you cant fool anyone with that, it fails as a magic show, you know it, and this show is not meant for you to show off, its to actually try to fool Penn and Teller. Honest, i did liked it, you have stage presence and this can be turned in a small routine for an entertainment show, perhaps adding extra elements, but this is not worthy of Fool Us.

@Alientcp
@Alientcp 4 жыл бұрын
@@salmonsonsamantha No. Its not because she is a woman. Its because magic, or the "art of fooling the crowd as if some one had super natural skills" is quite complicated to perform, but amazing to watch. Its hard to tell how good magicians do the trick, some are impossible to tell. The fact that i, a no one with no attention to detail, figured it out by myself it was a testament how she fails at it. As a magician, she is not good. She gets an A for performance, but she gets an F as magician. The world is a hard place, its not like elementary where everyone gets a trophy for participating. The good ones at their craft get praised, the ones that not get ignored. Age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, political views, religion, yada yada, all of that is irrelevant. Good ones are good, bad ones are bad. Thats just a fact.
