One of my favourite is a tiny passing nod to one ok rock...its nothing special really...its just a poster on a wall that says "coke rock" but I'm just obsessed with that band that i love it non the less

Bocchi's fan being there is sort of a big deal outside of the story too, see they're her FIRST fans and the fans of Bocchi love em. Kesoku Band were featured in the background of another anime and those two were specifically put there because they're Bocchi's biggest fans. I love that the staff are this hyped about this series so much.

Yep in ep 10 of “slow loop“ kessoku band makes a cameo performing at the school festival and hitori’s fans are in the audience. You can also see the Slow Loop MC’s Koharu and Hiyori make an appearance as keychains in a later episode of Bocchi the Rock. Both manga are published in the same magazine!

There is a tiny detail that shows up in this episode that I find really cool, related to the tiny twig of hair that springs out to Bocchi's right. Think of it as representing her introverted internalized thought process; her sister has the same thing but its both left and right, her mom has the same thing its both left and right (representing balance for both of them, but similarity, so they both likely have a rich internal voices just balanced). Then - this was really cool - when Nijika guesses that Bocchi thought "then why didn't you just design it from the start" -- a tiny twig of Nijika's hair springs out to the right representing her matching Bocchi's thought process.

It was interesting that you brought up Ryo possibly having anxiety, as I felt she was just comfortable being introverted. I think they all represent both sides of introvertedness and extrovertedness -- Bocchi and Ryo are the introverts, and Bocchi has social anxiety, whereas Ryo is ok with who she is and embraces it. Kita and Nijika are the extroverts, and Kita has the anxiety while Nijika is confident in who she is. I hope that makes sense, I guess lol

Bocchi's not an introvert. She's shy and has social anxiety. Meanwhile, Ryo is an introvert, a confident one too. Ryo has no problem socializing, but is more comfortable being on her own. Ryo's my favorite character in BTR, peeling off her layers is fascinating.

@@SantaClaus-kk8zr Re Zero is kind of a tall order now because it's too dark. Almost all of the four main Kadokawa isekais are, in some way, dark (except KonoSuba), so I'd recommend KonoSuba, Overly Cautious Hero, or something along those lines, just for a general feel of the genre. Advancing to Re: Zero immediately is...💀
