yes, this is very tricky. I would save as a swf then use a screen capture program. this would record the swf as a new movie file, but sometimes the capture rate is too slow, so I would actually re-export the swf with half the frame rate, screen capture again, then use after effects to double the clip speed back to normal, with the audio from the first capture synced with it. But I think there's programs you can buy that make this process much easier.

This AvA hiatus (2011-2014) looks so nostalgic. 2013 and 2012 looks very nostalgic. These videos are the reason why I like making stick figure animations (I uploaded them to KZbin).

Yeah if your symbols are movie clips then they wont play in an exported avi. if thats not the case then i'm not sure. If you used a V-cam, then exporting to a .avi is very tricky. I can make a tutorial to explain my method.

i guess you're using movie clips? if they dont have a glow or blur effect then they can be converted to graphics and then they should play, otherwise maybe theyve been converted to symbols twice so while one symbol has animation, the symbol of itself doesnt have enough frames to run. sorry i made that sound way more complicated than it is.

No the pixels have to be 2048 wide and 1054 tall for KZbin,be carefull choosing the size,I don't think Alan knew that years ago,I think that's why there is bars on his old videos

Been struggling with exporting something KZbin compatible for years, this helped a lot but still not quite there... For some reason the option to export AVI doesn't exist at all, I guess that's alright seeing as you recommend quicktime anyway, however the quicktime movie seems to leave 'stains' A shot change will leave elements of the previous background on screen, a face peels off, a mouth doesn't move etc. All some sort of strange pixelated lag... Ever seen this happen before?

i exported my animation like you said (in avi. format), but the movie clip symbols aren't playing in the exported avi. file...if it helps, those symbols were simple shape tweens...Also, wt do i set the dimensions when exporting in avi. if i used the V-Cam in my animation? Can u please clarify these questions, it'd be really helpful :)

For some reason, I can't put the flash movie in sony vegas it doesn't show the animations or any of the video and is just a black screen.

I don't seem to get my symbols to "run" when I export my animation. It's as if I were to play it in Adobe Flash by pressing enter...

Dreadrat, you can use windows media player if it doesn’t work in your normal video player.

did you paste the script in the symbol? did you duble click the symbol and clicked once in the blank space and pasted the script?
