I'm convinced that Alanis is the most well-spoken female singer/celebrity I've ever heard. She's so articulate and intelligent.

yes!!! and in her live show, all this is expressed! Have you seen her live on stage??? it's so amazing!!! I saw it first time over two weeks ago and I am still blown away by it!!! Like the way she does "Uninvited" live, she does this intense headbanging dance with flashing lights....you have to see it in real life....and she takes pauses in between songs and talks about her life and her thoughts just like in this video! So amazing in every way. I been listening to her since 1996 and I love it!! Have all her albums :)

She's so intellectual and also soft spoken! Almost shockingly soft spoken for someone with an album like jagged little pill. I love her! I wish she would play more gigs on weekends so I could see her!

I was 15 years old when I heard this amazing, deep, emotional voice come blaring out of the radio singing "You oughta know" . It floored me because I had never heard that range of emotion out of any artist, and I had grew up with Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey . She is still by far one of the best artist to come out of the 90s

Alanis, you rock! I really enjoyed watching this interview, listening to your looking back on your thought processes at that time. I heard "You Oughta Know" when it played on the radio in '95...the censored version *rolls eyes* and then "Hand in my Pocket" I loved them then and I love them still! Big hugs for you and your family!

I listen to her album weekly when I get tired driving till 2am. Every penny sent streaming is helpful and she deserves the life she has built. Her skill at peak was absurd. I play music and sing guitar and write songs, it's funny how the music you play changes over time. Beautiful woman too. Strong. Like my badass wife.

I love Alanis but they way she expresses herself is a little annoying. She sounds like she just practiced a couple of SAT words before the interview and spews them them all out in one sentence. It just sounds a little rehearsed and unnatural. I don't think it's eloquence. It's singularily despondent and uncontrived and philosophicalitic. That's what it sounds like
@ThatBoy1228 жыл бұрын
Right 🤔
@kenmolinaro8 жыл бұрын
My #1 pet peeve is when people say that other people who are well educated and have an extensive vocabulary should pretend they don't so that the less educated are not made to feel uncomfortable. I really hate that.
@dinkybo8 жыл бұрын
+Ken Molinaro I guess what I'm saying is even educated people would find her way of combining words rehearsed or contrived... Have you seen Dawson's Creek ? Remember how they used lots of SAT words to make up one sentence ? That's what this sounds like. Also, to insinuate that I'm uneducated is okay if it makes you feel better. I laugh because you don't know who I am...
@kenmolinaro8 жыл бұрын
I said what I did because I have never heard anyone refer to "SAT words". Words are just words. The way she talks sounds no different than any of my friends and colleagues. If she is comfortable talking like that then who are you to complain? She sounds the same in every interview and I've seen her interviewed many times.
@eugenewardjr.35067 жыл бұрын
dinkybo When artists reach her stature they are asked the same questions so many times. that after a while the answers & descriptions just roll off. They don't have to stop & think about their words & responses. So it SOUNDS rehearsed but it's not.
