I got an aha-understanding.. So All our experiences are known through the mind by consciousness. Except for the ever present experience of being aware. That is directly known through consciousness by consciousness. Our minds are private but consciousness is shared. Is the nature of awareness the one who chooses? The I that I am chooses what I will direct my awareness towards. Therefore choice is an essential characteristic of awarwness . Is this correct?

Anything that seems to appear (choice) is only a seeming which is described and conceptualised. It's impossible to know what anything truly is as appearance is a flickering light show which never resolves as any thing. Things would need to be stable and lasting to be able to define them as something.
