finding copyright free and new stuff is not easy. electronic does enough to show all the frequencies together along with the graphs just above covers most angles. never gonna keep everyone happy though.

I'm loving my D Fine Plus 2 too. Thanks for your Oppinion. I have not understand all of that what you said, because my english is not very well. But i love this detailet sounding Charakter of this speaker too. On my first listening at home, i heared details in lots of Tracks, that i didn't heared before. And the Bass ist strong and warm and brings a Lot of joy to me. So thanks for your rewiev! Now i can be sure that there runs nothing wrong with my ears! 😉

hum, i wouldnt like to stick my neck out that far 🙄 i think for me it works well for that genre, nice thick mids and decent drum kicks. detailed in a lush way but........there is a lack of clarity in the high mids and lacks high end sparkle. doesnt go as loud as you might a 50w speaker to go. for me its a pair with the motion plus. motion+ has the very detailed highs but lacks the low end quality of the dockin. the motion plus can sound over bright at times whereas the dockin is never going to sound bright. i personally love it but can i say you will to????? hum.... 🤓

Hi Alan, how are you ? I'm looking for a speaker I could use outside, when partying with my friend. If I want to get the "louder" and the most powerfull sound (as we're outside, like in park), do you think I shoud go for this D Fine +2 or the Anker Motion+ ? Thanks for your great videos. :)

The mini rigs sound is thin and tinny, the dockin sounds denser and softer

Thanks for the video Alan... it’s a pit pit for those picks deep, the Dockin would be a great speaker, it really has potential. Hopeful they fix it. Can you make a review of two beosound A1? They are probably the best small sounding speakers but too expensive.

Alan your videos go into gear detail when it comes to your reviews on speakers and be quite deep. But I've got Dock D Fine model one and that's 50 wstts. And that's a very good speaker on its own. And I paid £100 for my Dock D FINE on Amazon a few months ago. Granted the new speaker maybe better than the Mark 1 but I guarantee you it won't be a massive difference in sound. It is buying a Samsung Galaxy S10 compared to the S9 the difference wouldn't be mind-blowing. So people should fork out another £180 just so that maybe they may hear more detail. Not worth it in my opinion,if the original Dock In D Fine was terrible then I could understand your point. But I just think people are throwing money nowadays when alot of the time the difference between an upgrade is very little.

@@PedroOliveira1987 they offer different things, both have a place, with proper eq motion plus is more accurate but dockin has better weight to bass and the lower mids are very detailed and full in a way the motion cannot match. the motion plus is clearer and more sparkly but thinner.

Jo Alan, I'm just thinking of buying two Dockin D Fine +2 but I'm not sure whether they will be loud enough...🤔 Can they compete with the Minirig's loudness or the JBL Boombox' loudness or are they -together- just as loud as a JBL Xtreme 3 which would be too quite.

R u talking minirig 2.0? 2.1? Those minirigs are 40w each. You might also want to consider a pair of motion booms which offer better value than the dockin.

@@alanrossreviews Compared to a 2.0 or 2.1 would both be interesting as I already heard both. I thought about two Motion Boom too but they are too big for me. I'm searching for the loudest and bass heaviest speaker or speaker pair for Mountainbiking so they should't be too big but it's not that easy to find something really good and now I'm thinking of a pair of Dockin D Fine +2 or maybe the previous version because it goes louder. I also had the Minirigs here but they couldn't convince me.

It's quite a difference...More open sounding and diffuse nicely, flatter... However, mids are better in minirigs

upper mids i agree, but listening in person the dockins are doing more in the lower mids, the weight and detail brings a bit more to the table for me in that regard, i am loving it. Yes true mids and upper mids are recessed on dockin, sad, it comes close to being the new kid on the block for me but i can see too many issues for a lot of other people with it. im sure the helsinki is better overall listenign to oluvs video, but for near same money i could have two dockins. i dont know why they price the vifa speakers so hi, im sure they would kick ass if priced more realistically.

@@aktunav vifa speakers are expensive because of the quaility materials and woofers. No cheap woofers, that's why. Its the premium segment. I cant afford it but i understand what vifa offers with the productline. I also think it is a bit overpriced but if you care about high resolution, the best in portable speakers this size with bluetooth and high wuality materials, then its for sure worth to invest in vifa speakers. But since iam mostly listening to electronic and bass heavy music/party music, vifas high resolution is not needed for me. I dont listen to jazz and classic music, so i dont need that amount of detail, especially not outdoors

The problem with the new dockin is, its clarity is not the best, it isnt that loud on max. Volume and it distorts quite a bit in bass, especially on max. Volume and in bass mode.. You should watch oluvs gadgets channel on youtube. He compared it against the teufel rockster cross(250euro). The rockster cross is way better sounding but of course 50 euros more expensive and lil bit bigger. But personally, better invest in a teufel rockster cross(if you love in germany or got access to it) than in a dockin dfine +2 or jbl xtreme 2

i guess we disagree on this. Im very happy with my dockin, im not hearing too much distortion. What im hearing is a detailed lower mids that i havent heard in a speaker for quite a while. yes it lacks some clarity, do you know of a perfect speaker? Way better because its louder?? a speaker that is both bigger and more expensive 😝 the dockin maintains bass even at max, of course if it limited bass at say 75% like a lot of speakers and just put that power into the highs it would be louder, loud isnt everything. Im giving my opinion, this is one of the better speakers at the price point and size that i have heard. When you have heard it in person get back to me 👍

@@alanrossreviews yea its in the top 3 but i rather spend 50 bucks more on a lil bigger speaker(not huge difference) which is like 30%louder, deeper kicking bass(on matched volume) , cleaner bass, cleaner treble and better of axis sound dispersion. The rockster cross is definately the best in this segment beating also the jbl xtreme2 (which was 300 euro original also) and the dockins. Also i dont like the upper bass of the dockin, bit too much. I even think i would rather buy a new jbl xtreme 2 for around 180 euros i guess thats the current price, and the xtreme 2 still sounds smoother and deeper in bass than the dockin dfine +2. So if i would have a top 3 in this weight class around 2kg+, i would rank rockster cross on 1, xtreme 2. And dockin dfine +2 3.

@@mxz2024 You have to spent minimum 80bucks more for the Teufel! And in Olafs Video both sounds nearly similar at the Indoor Test. Only a bit different at highs, mids and Bass, but there is not really a Winner, Ist's simply a Question of Personal taste!! And Outdoors? Yes the Teufel is louder, but on Max Volume it only screams terrible. That's no music pleasure to me... The Teufel is a great Speaker, but its not perfekt. And the jbl too. Its Only Personal taste!

@@TommyM3 50 euro more to be exact. 200 euro dockin, 250 teufel cross. but the teufel cross has really more emphasis on deep bass kick which i prefer over upper/mid bass of the dockin. also i prefer clarity and vocals on every angle, especially outdoors and the teufel cross is definately better on that. also on the teufel there is no distortion(or hardly any compared to the dockin on max. volume) and it sounds as full with deeper cleaner bass kick on already 70-80% volume. the dockin is already on 100% there and distorts/knocks quite a bit... so im pretty happy to have the teufel rocskter cross, which is definately still my number 1 to pick in the weight of 2-3kg to carry around outside. indoors for lower volume listening i got the anker soundcote motion+ also.
