Interesting. I bought Titan Fitness T-3 rack about 3 years ago for my home gym and it's been great, but you did hit the nail on the head. Titan Fitness I would generally say is NOT mean for commercial gym use. Their products are generally great for the price for home/garage gym users where many can't afford to dump $2,000+ on each piece of equipment. I've been very happy with mine, but I could see them not holding up to extended use in a commercial gym setting, and can also see it being likely for their products to be damaged in shipment.

The earthquake bar is beneficial in the later stages of rehab or prehab and should help improve shoulder stability by facilitating coordinated firing of rotator cuff muscles to maintain a stable shoulder throughout the bench ROM. It comes from a principle used in physical therapy called rhythmic stabilization if you want to look it up. So the benefit would be that your members might want to use it when coming back from a rotator cuff injury or just intermittently for preventing one.

*swinging from the pull-up bar* "Cooper! Campbell! This is a squat rack!" Best shout out if I ever saw one. That said, I'd be interested in seeing how it holds up over time - maybe not the structural integrity which looks crazy solid but things like coating and attachments. Also, besides its very visible sturdiness, what makes it a better rack than say a Rogue RM-6 or RML-690? For a fellow gym owner, are there any benefits to making the investment in one or two of these racks vs. say a more affordable alternative in Rogue equipment that can be furnished with any number of their accessories? I'm of the mind quality over gimmicks but some of the higher end EliteFTS racks run ~$3k and you have to wonder if the extra quality is worth the money that adds up over two, three, or more racks. Anyway, good looking EliteFTS!
@bmstylee5 жыл бұрын
Those Elite racks look pretty bad ass. I am thinking about the rml690c for my garage. The amount of accessories Rogue makes is what is drawing me that way. I'm thinking either way would be good gear.

Every piece of equipment I have bought from them is the same way, bomb-proof and I'll have it for as long as I lift.

That's why I just fab/weld my own equipment; made one power rack over 20 years ago and it doesn't need replacing, still square, nothing bent, holes still tight..when you use 2.5 inch square tube with 3/8 wall cold rolled steel, it's going to be strong. Lot of gym equipment makers love to skimp on thick--bigger metal stock, not all have the facitility, experience, equipment to fabricate metal, but I would suggest it for anyone like Alan.

Alan is 100% accurate in saying elitefts is the best rack. you can tel these are American made by someone who takes pride in their work. And they are heavy heavy duty. its a lifetime investment for sure. But hes also accurate in saying that for the home gym guys elite and rogue is usually to much of an investment for the average blue collar guys. But titan will hold up for guys who are not quite elite class lifters. and he also said when titan gets it right its a great rack too. if you watched the whole video when its all said and done he still has two titan racks he kept!. great video ALAN.

Same. I spent hours on the X3 flat foot, trying to trouble shoot why it would teeter. I found the answer in the pull up bar, one of the brackets was curved/bent. Got a hack squat machine from titan fitness for my physical therapy clinic and what a disappointment... The locking mechanism completely missed the hooks on the sled, the handles on the frame collided with the handles on the locking frame (so it hit another handle but not the hooks it's supposed to catch), and the adjustable pad on the slide frame was not welded correctly to let the locking pin slide into place. Do I really need to bolt it down? Drilling through my hardwood floor into concrete is not an option. I have good quality pine 2x6 boards. Will probably mount it to that for slightly better stability and have everything to build a deadlift platform ready to go. If I didn’t bolt down the rack and just deadlift on the stall mats only would I be ok? I bought 500lbs+ of Rogue Competition bumpers. Wondering if that is enough to cushion without the platform for now and if the rack can hold that without being bolted.

Alan, I cannot front squat due to lack of flexibility in my wrists, forearms, etc. Oh yea, and I'm old. So ,should I use a safety squat bar or a spider bar to work my quads? If not these bars what movement would you suggest? Thanks, Stefano & always remember Semper Fi !

11:00 If Maddox is using it and currently benching more than 750 pounds, I think there is some utility in that movement.

It’s sucks because companies like titan fitness not only have awesome prices but offer folks an amazing opportunity to have a dope rack. I’m sure they have some absolute awful stories on quality but I can imagine that happening when a company like them explode in growth. Shipping logistics and etc have to be god awful and difficult for a company to carry out at those price ranges. Glad he got a Commercial grade rack he is happy with. 💪🏿

How are those lag bolts holding up? I mounted my Titan rack with those and ripped them out by jumping up and swung on the pull up bar in about five seconds.

What’s the best rack if you want a high and low pulley also? I’ve heard ones with weight stacks feel better than plate loaded. Need to buy one in a ear when my shoulder is healthy again to train

Alan, what is your opinion on the R3 rack by rogue? the 30" deep bolt together, 2x3 uprigths. Thank you!

Just wondering to myself: Why not just use dumbbells for shoulder stability? Does an earthquake bar really provide anything different from DBs?

I don't think Titan tanks are designed for commercial use. Geat for your home gym. They are a good value for a home gym.

The gym I goto has 6 titan racks. Took to long to ship and get all the parts, but they're good racks! Theres plenty of people at that gym that squat 500+ (it's a strongman gym) and they get the job done.

@@GIboy1990 you sound deeply insecure and yes a gym with alot of titan stuff is by definition cheap and can't afford or want to buy decent equipment. Sorry you're so defensive about the dumpy gym you go to ... It's sad that you get worked about your dump ...who cares how big it is...it has junk. Might be ok if its free.

@martyjanderson, its not necessarily about the brand but the people who use it and get their work done... someone who is working high weight in a cheap rack is better off than a weak person in a high end gym... i dont get it, you complain about 'weak' racks, but the biggest problem is weak persons finding excuses... that is what most people struggle with... finding failure everywhere but cant put in the hard work because weak mindset

They make good stuff for home gyms, better than crap racks at most rec centers
