Wow! A heatwave, hmmm? 😁 The girls look great! ❤️♥️ It's just so beautiful up there with the snow covered trees. That would be quite the site to find a moose standing in the driveway snacking on a tree branch that's up that high. Amazing! Thanks for the baby goat fix. You know I can never get enough of that! It's always a great start to the day when there's a new video from Flat Tire Farm. ❤️ Have a great weekend & enjoy the warmer temps! 🎉🎉 Here's to a happy, healthy & prosperous 2023 to you guys. 🙏

Thanks miss Sandi, we thought you’d like to see your little God daughter, Lucy. 😊 I see the moose all the time but can’t get my phone videoing fast enough before they lumber off into the woods. I do have plenty of videos of moose butts though. Ha! Happy New Years friend!

We like checking out the tracks as well. It's always fun, well sometimes, to see what has come through. I love your goats! We had 2 fainting goats before we moved up here. The hubbs is telling me "no" to more at the moment. I'll get my way at some point hopefully! 😂

Ha! Nigerian dwarf goats are great and that they can’t jump a pallet fence, and they have extremely high cream content, even higher than dairy cows. Let us know if you get interested… We know a guy. Ha!

Fern looks like a cuddle bug. I have a condition called flat back syndrome and the trees resemble me a lot. I feel so sorry for them. It looks so beautiful there. I love the goats and how think their fur is. They look like the little creatures on the old star wars movie. I can’t remember what it was called

Happy New Year! Everything looks so pretty full of snow. We had everything covered in hoarfrost the other day. I took so many pictures because it was so thick on the trees and as soon as the sun hits it, it all falls off.

@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska Yes it's really nice here as well. I'm very glad because my goats are kidding right now and it's been challenging enough. We have 8 kids so far. We lost one not long after birth he was a twin and his brother is still alive but now I have a bottle baby. They were born a little early and their mom is pretty sick so I have to get her back on top. The little guy that I'm bottle feeding is doing really well. I wasn't too sure how he would do but so far he's a hearty eater and getting stronger and louder by the day haha. Then my oldest goat kidded and was only interested in eating her clean bedding. She did have her daughter outside in the other goat shelter that is not insulated so I was able to save her little ears thankfully. However she decided she doesn't want this baby. She has rejected her. I had another goat that gave birth to twins later that day so while mama was going crazy licking her babies I put that little rejected one with her. She took her on as well. She just started licking that little baby and let her nurse as well. So she will be nursing triplets. So far they are all doing well. I'm milking my mean mama that rejected her baby to supplement the bottle baby in the house. Hope that all makes sense 🤣🤣🙃

Sorry Miss Marlene! I just got this comment for some reason. Yay baby goats! Sounds like it was quite an adventure. Hope all the babies are doing well. How many bottle babies did you finally end up with?

@@FlatTireFarmHomesteadingAlaska so I ended up with 2 full time bottle feeders and one that still drinks from his mama but still loves to come fill up the rest of his tank from my bottles. They all have very hardy appetites and are doing well.

@@marlenereimchen9141 yay! I love baby goats. Cutest creatures on the planet. Do you sell your babies, keep them, or do they go to freezer camp eventually?

I have lots of questions. The snow and snow covered trees are beautiful. It is so peaceful. One of my questions is do you harvest a moose for food each year? I watch several homesteaders in Alaska. Simple Alaska Living. They try to harvest a moose each year. And they get on a list for moose that have been hit by vehicles. Do you do this? They also fish a lot. Happy New Year! Oh. Of all our video's I have watched so far I like the lemon ones the best.

Hello friend, our goal is definitely to harvest a moose each year. We actually bought the size tractor we did because it could lift a moose. Ha! We are on the road kill list. But no luck yet. 😊 Many moose live on our property and travel through, mostly cows and their babies though. And the moose that are legal to hunt seem to not come around during hunting season. Ha! We’ve done some day hunting trips, but we find we are most successful when we can just camp out for a solid week. We’ve spend the last 2 years building the infrastructure we have. We started with 40 acres of forest. So that’s where all our time has gone and will likely go this next year also. We love fishing; we still have salmon in the freezer from dipnetting a few years ago and have some canned up in the pantry. Summer is so short here and we have so many things on the to-do list, but we plan to get off the property and do some lake fishing this summer. I’m glad you enjoyed the lemon series. 🍋😊Thanks for watching, feel free to ask questions anytime. Stay warm out there.

Are they dwarf goats.i found this video and had to watch it. I still love Daisy the best but all are very cute. Do y'all eat goat or just raising them. Can y'all kill the moose on your land.

Hey Robin! They are Nigerian Dwarf goats. We raise them for pets and milk 😊. During hunting season, yes, we can shoot a moose on our property, as long as it’s a male and a few other characteristics.
