Lilacs in Alaska! I would have never guessed, thanks for sharing. My grand dad had lilacs and I had white ones at my last home. Dear friend Capone, I just got a ramp for my Frankie since he's been missing the steps sometimes...The ramp is easy for him, but not quick enough for me. I pick him up to his truck seat...55 lbs. Thanks again, my traveling shero!

Carolyn I just want you to know you are my inspiration. I am surrounded by people constantly telling me I can't do something. I started college at 58 cause I wanted to learn more, everyone said I would never finish the first semester, now I'm about to graduate, ready to start my adventure and all I hear is I'll never make it, which is daily I'm told. I just come to my room and turn you on. THANK YOU and I hope to get the chance to meet you in person somewhere in our travels and do that in person and give you a big hug. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. My Australian Shepherd puppy is absolutely fascinated with Capone. She watches him intently especially when your feed him treats and she tries to "talk", kind of guttural sounds with him.

Awwwww Capone slipped. I am thinking of getting Little Guy a step up. I thought he was 6 months when I rescued him, but at six, he is sporting a white beard. Never even thought to ask the vet about his age, he looked so little, like a scrawny puppy. Now it sometimes takes him 3 tries to get on the bed, and I have seen him flat foot up 24". No more.

I really enjoyed this video...Capone is so sweet. My Faith who is 14, is doing the same thing. She'll Stop and won't budge. I'm constantly coaxing her to come in with treats! It's difficult having elderly pups. Ive got 2. It can be draining emotionally but, they know no difference. As long as they're with their Master and get plenty of treats, that's all that matters. 😊

Though you don't know me, I watch and learn, emulate and used ideas given through you all into my van and the way I conduct myself. Loved the veggie burger scene. lol Seemed so idyllic. Private, yet sharing space. I bought two of the polar pads one for my Yorkie and one for me. I lived in Ca. with 1105-120 degree heat all summer, and it worked great on my back when I went to bed, worked great on his too. lol Later I had an air cond. problem in my car. I could leave early enough to go to town when it was cool but too warm by the time I was ready to head home, so I flipped the pad over the seat, so It again worked to keep me cool. They should also ad for people too. Last scene... Looks like a perfect place for a moose. Good thing it was on the other side.

Just a tip to removing dog hair …. vacuums suck at it (pardon that obvious pun!) Use that 2 inch wide packing tape - cheap is fine. Wrap the sticky side out around your hands - it works BRILLIANTLY on hair! The hair ends seem to spear themselves in fabric and carpet - and packing sticky tape rips it out. Use as much tape as you need to get it clean. I had a big, long haired dog - and if you knew the snowstorm of hair they create in your car …!! LOL Anyhow, it worked brilliantly

Not to put to fine a point on it, but we don't get 9 months of dark. What we call, " Dark winter " is really about 12 weeks, then the sun comes screaming back. It becomes what we call, " Light Winter "... That is also about 12 weeks long. The rest of the 8 months of cold weather are transition zones.... The best time of the year to get out and play is March and April. Sunny, no bugs, Rivers are still frozen so travel is easy. It's awesome.... March is also the Sunniest month of the year. This is an FYI and is posted with a large smile. Love the channel.....

Just a note on Prudhoe Bay area.. (top of Alaska) .. there have been a number of relatively strong earthquakes in that area this last few days. A 6.4 was a record breaker for that area.. so, some concern for the oil industry up there. Apparently it was felt even down in Fairbanks.

When you got to Fairbanks you should have found some great produce. Things like cabbages grow to tremendous sizes in the long days there. Yeah... the female moose don't have antlers but can be very dangerous.. more than bears... especially if they have a calf with them. They've been known to stomp people to death.
