You and Cody have to do a team up. Go to the US or bring him to Lyngen. Would be epic. I would pay to see that, hint hint.

So glad to see you back at it! I got hooked on your channel when I watched you ski the Northwest Couloir on Mt Shuksan which happens to be in my backyard. I spent many of days skiing pretty much every skiable part of Mt. Baker, even trudging up Salmon Arm to ski into Razor Hone Canyon. But, as Warren Miller said, "That was back in the day when my face was tight and my pants were baggy, Now my pants are tight and my face is baggy." Looking forward to more of your quests I can live vicariously through! Cheers.

I'm going to show my partner this episode to help motivate her to do a snow camp trip with me, since she's shied away from it for similar reasons. Anyway definitely enjoy the married couple dynamic as a part of the Fifty adventure stories and looking forward to more..

Super excited for this new series. The last season of the fifty we sorta knew before it came out we were probably only going to see a few lines skied, which sucked because this is the best series on YT and to wait a whole year for a few lines wasnt great. The first season of the fifty is nostalgic watching it back now. But now the possibility for content are endless, this first season of the fifty+ will one day be nostalgic i bet. Cheers!

Love how she raises that high-approachability = higher-classic value. Not "easy." Just, if you have to fly, trek and risk death.... not so classic. Strongly agree and great to see you two on this new adventure!!

Elyse's got some good points about classic lines for sure.
@therealjaypowell3 ай бұрын
Agreed, I actually question some of the lines from the book for that reason. Is it really a classic ski descent if it takes a multi day approach, a lot of resources and money, and luck to be able to ski it? It might be an awesome accomplishment, but I don’t know if that’s a classic then.

Cody, love your videos man, watched probably every one. Amazing. Your risk calculations seem to always be on point, but here I’d disagree. You’re a father now, like me. If there was every a non-zero chance I could be killed in the backcountry along with my wife, leaving my child alone, I’d never ski that area/line. Food for thought dude. Much respect.
@CodyTownsend2 ай бұрын
There is a non-zero chance of getting killed in everything we do. To take that philosophy into the mountains is impossible. Hell, I almost had a friend killed riding a cruiser bike from the post office back home nearly at the base of this line. I appreciate your concern, but trust me when I say that same thought of leaving our child parentless motivates a lot of our decision making.
