EcoFlow needs to sent you the Smart generator, it's one of the coolest product they have made if you have a delta batteri, then you only have to think about fueling the generator, the charging will be done when the batteri is about to run low

We have this with the Ecoflow 220 watt portable solar panel and a 2500 watt inverter generator for our backup system in our house. Great piece of gear. Have you seen the 800 watt charger that wires into your vehicle?

Four 200 watt monocrystalline solar panels would be an excellent addition for you. Just wire them in series parallel. That would cut your gasoline consumption way down.

He says he charges up 2048 wh by driving into town with a 12 volt cig lighter? Or pulls out a " little " solar panel to charge LOL😂😂😂. @ 120 watts through the lighter it would take 15-18 hours or constant driving ( not idling ) to fill it up. If by a 100 watt solar panel ( 60 watts real world average ) on an " average " sunny day it would take 1.5 days to charge. Unless you have a high current alternator or 12-24-36 volt up converter Or if you maxed it out somehow with 500 & 500 ( 750 real world )watts solar on your vehicle + car charging at the same time on an average sunny day it would take 3 hours. Sure is a lot of driving time per day. When do you have time to be a youtuber & wilderness survivalist, tree cutting and hunting for food etc. Those take a lot of time out of your day. This is how I smell B.S.. I have 2 of these so I kind of know what i'm talking about.

The AC converter on that thing draws 1/3 of the capacity and it doesnt charge more than 1300W. And it doesnt even show it you. I was considering it for powering my cottage but if you turn on the AC converter on a full charge, the time left immediatelly drops from 99+ hours to 65 hours. WITH NOTHING PLUGGED IN. I mean if you leave it at your cottage, you loose 0.8kWh just for the converter with no power draw, thats crazy. And you cannot see the power consuption of the station it self anywhere. You have to calculate it each time manually by using the time and capacity left... i mean wtf?

I imagine they're called a "generator" because people tend to think of a generator as a source of power. In the end a gas generator is turning gasoline into electricity, so this turning stored battery power into electricity isn't all that different if you really think about it. Gas gen needs you to put gas in, this needs you to put electricity in from solar or whatever. But they both then supply electricity back out.

They have an integrated charge controller for taking solar energy in so instead of putting gasoline in them to make power you're taking solar and converting into DC power period this is why they're called solar generators and not just battery packs. the benefit is you can also charge them up AC from a generator or a wall outlet.

It generates electricity just like a diesel generator does. If you don't refuel the diesel generator, it will also stop generating electricity. You need to charge this battery pack to run power off of them, so ideally you would do that with a few PV panels, which are included in certain packages (220W/400W option).

Great video. We invested in the Delta Pro 21,500wh set up with 2 smart generators and a double voltage hub. We have 3600 watts of hard panels that max out solar charging. The smart generators are awesome as well.

Keep solar panels on the ground, well about 4ft off the ground on a rotating platform. You go + turn platform for Sun exposure. Putting panels on roof is a lot of maintenance + clearing snow if needed daily. Daily!!!Another Alaska creator has his panels just as I suggested. If remember his name I'll DM you. Love in Sarasota

It doesn't really go up to 3600 watts. It decreases the voltage so it can continue providing the necessary amps. Many appliances can run fine like that, but it can be bad for some appliances to be running on low voltage. I'd use that feature sparingly.

Thanks for the video! How do you get your lights/switches and outlets to the Delta 2 so they can be powered? Do they go to an electrical panel and then the Delta 2 powers the panel? Or do they just run through the wall and out somewhere and you plug them into the Delta 2 directly? Thanks for any help on this as I would like to do something similar but that is the part I don't understand fully. Love your stuff!

Just got one with a extra battery. The latest firmware updates to 20ms or less transfer time. It is a great unit for power outages, and how you use. I will be connecting two AllPowers SP039's 600w portables to it for portability as others have done with success and do some home load offsetting without doing a grid tie, while also taking advantage of its portability when needed. 1000 ft extension cords etc.

You should get some big pannels and a proper inverter..I recommend Deye or if you want something more expensive ..Victron..a 3-5 kw would be great .you can have the pannels on the ground set at 45 degrees.

I want to see the VOLTAGE under various loads with a voltage tester or kilowatt meter. If the voltage drops below 117 volts under full load, I call that a failure.

I'm not impressed with it. I power my tiny house and it's plugged into the house full time so it always has a full charge. I have a 500 watt heater and low energy lights 100w total and it wont push it. The lights flicker etc. Its embarrassing. Am I missing something with it? I would buy an additional unit an piggy back them together but it wont even handle 700 watt output. I'm afraid it will another waist of money.

What gauge extension cord do you use to charge them at 1100 watts? Is it safe to use a cord that didn't come with the unit?

I use a heavy 12 gauge for my cabin. I bet you could get away with a 14 or even 16 but not at much of a length. For the actually charging I try and use the one that came with it, then the 12 gauge 100ft to the generator.

A Giant Chinese battery/generator company gives away a few FREE generators. These "reviewers" all look very legit, but seriously...are they really legit? It's almost disgusting. ALL of these reviews come from people who were given generators for their review. yeah these things are cool, especially the Ecoflow Ultra, but in reality you need a gas, diesel, or propane generator for any long term needs...more than a day a two. Get a duel fuel, run it on propane, and you won't have the problem of gas sitting for a long time. Imagine, you buy a predator, Westinghouse, or champion 12500 duel fuel for 1500 max. Done. These power stations are just a shiny object. Good for Van Life, I own two Ecoflows, but they are not serious for home backup.

For long term needs, having both an ICE generator and a battery/solar generator is ideal. ICE has more flexibility and reliability, but the battery/solar helps reduce fuel consumption and wear-and-tear on the ICE generator since you no longer need to run it as often or as long. They really complement each other more than being a one-or-the-other kind of deal. I'd say having two medium sized generators--one ICE and one solar/battery--is far better than having one big solar or one big ICE since a large ICE generator will require way more fuel than you can reasonably store and will often produce more output than you even needed, and a big solar/battery is simply too inflexible and dependent on the weather to meet all of your needs all of the time. Though... If by some chance you're looking for a generator to run an entire home backup for more than a couple of weeks, you're a fool. At that point you should be looking for ways to reduce your reliance on the grid rather than looking for ways to replace the grid. The grid consists of millions of hard and experienced men working long hours, and you aren't going to replace that with some fun little tools. There's a reason that off-grid folks live in motor vehicles and tiny cabins, and it ain't because they didn't buy enough gadgets. It's because energy generation is freaking hard work--much too hard for only one man. You gotta take a hard look at your wants and needs and figure out how those can be met with less. Some examples, instead of cranking up the AC to cool your home in the summer, look at ways to block the sun from heating your home in the first place. Instead of using extremely inefficient electric appliance to cook your food, look into more efficient options like rocket stoves or solar cookers.

All power stations charge really fast when you first get them after 6 months they slowed a lot. dont have to believe me but if you have a smart phone that is the same as a charge station. Smart phone battiers start to die off after 6 months. This is the same with all EV's

LiFePo Batteries have better longevity than typical traditional lithium-ion batteries that you would find in your telephone that had been so common for the last decade or so. Old school batteries have about an 800 cycle average lifespan before they dropped to about 80% and lifepo batteries Are good for a few 1000 cycles before they drop to 80% efficiency period the downsides are they tend to be heavier for the same energy density and they don't Function freezing temperatures as well. Lifepo don't have the issue with catastrophic failure leading to exploding batteries either... big plus!
