I've got one like that. A year and a half ago a sweet little lone kitty about three months old came round to my office building a couple days in a row, squeaking endearingly and doing the wind-around-the-legs seduction gimmick and before I knew it the cat was up in my office litter trained, vaxxed and neutered. Adorable, albeit a little dicey in a university but what the hell I would risk I have tenure. She had free reign, in and out as she chose. Some few weeks later, the friends and relatives starting coming round, first her dad coming to chastise me for abducting his daughter away, and introducing his latest wife. Then the children . . . and a former wife. I now feed ten cats every dawn and sundown, including all holidays, all of them vaxxed and neutered, and charming, personable, gregarious in their appreciation, of course. . .

I watch this and smile! My mother was blind and had a "Seeing Eye dog" Throughout my childhood into my teens our family was always amused by the fact her dog instantly knew if she had a harness on she had to work, and without the harness there was a latitude for play time. But there were constants which never changed! On a Saturday when my mother walked to her hairdressers, on the homeward journey she always purchased groceries. Her route that day always passed the veterinary office, "No way could she ever walk that route without the dog crossing to the opposite side of the the street before it approached the vet's. Similarly, on market days she went a route which took her past an ice creme vendor, he knew the dog loved ice creme and was always ready to come curb side with a cone for the dog which he would never charge for. On these days no matter how mum tried, her dog would not walk any other route which deviated from the ice creme truck. Other days of the week she could mix it up, reverse it, cross it no problem. Even when mum missed days or took vacations which she thought would confuse her dog, the dog never failed to avoid the vets side of the street or be aware of the specific day the ice cream vendor would be present. On occasion when the vendor took a vacation her dogs reaction to his absence would result in a refusal to continue on the journey without a lengthy wait in case of a delayed arrival of the ice cream vendor.

OMG that brought back memories. We had an old English sheepdog when I was a kid and that's exactly what he did. He sat politely and took the cone with ice-cream very gently after licking some ice-cream off first while the server held it, the seller was so amazed at how gentle this huge dog was he never wanted payment but my mother always did. If ever the dog wasn't out when the ice cream van arrived he would ask for the dog to be let out so he could serve him.

@@Aretiarcticmonkeys huskies can actually process most sweets and sweeteners just fine, your correct though most dogs can have issues with stuff like this, you gotta watch what sweeteners are used as some are perfectly safe and others are highly toxic, it looked like this was home made ice cream so it is most likely safe for the dog/dogs it would be served to
