Everything Labor does seems to be anti Australian.

Which party has given a rats over the last 30 years about defence? The Libs? 5 billion for no subs, no frigates, no missiles, dwindling number, and old outdated equipment? What was their plan? Ask China to wait 20 years before we get 1 sub 😂 … It’s been a pathetic shit show for ages no matter where you look and this is just the next season of the shit show

Good to see Albo knows it is time for a change and that is now. He was tapping his watch. By Albo and the Labor party and especially, Penny Wong.

If the Aussie government was concerned about defence, for starters, the unfettered immigration from China, the middle East and Asia would be curbed to keep radicals out.

I agree about the issues with patriotism, but that’s one part of the issue and should not be the focus. It needs to be pay and conditions. This may be hard to accept but the military is mostly comprised of lower to middle classes who chose a military career because of pay and conditions. These days you can earn a whole lot more doing a trade or even manual labour then being in the military and you don’t have to put up with the rigours of training and being moved around bum fudge nowhere for less than what a admin assistant makes. Look at Russia and why so many are joining - it’s because they can make a lot of money that they can’t in civilian life. Also you need to improve army family benefits - give them and their children preferential treatment when it comes to education and so on. If you say that this is a highly valued role then you need to show people that you value the role.
