ALBANIA - first impression - exploring Saranda

ALBANIA SURPRISED US
We arrived in Albania for the first time. Landed on Tirana airport, rented a car and drove to the south of the country, to the one of the most popular places: Saranda.
Southern Albania boasts a variety of stunning touristic destinations. The Albanian Riviera, with its crystal-clear waters and beautiful beaches like those in Dhërmi and Ksamil, attracts sun-seekers and nature enthusiasts. The ancient city of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers a glimpse into the region's rich history with its well-preserved ruins. Gjirokastër, another UNESCO site, is famed for its Ottoman-era architecture and the imposing Gjirokastër Fortress. Additionally, the Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër), a mesmerizing natural spring, captivates visitors with its striking blue hues and serene surroundings.

Saranda gave me that vacation vibe. It was nice to walk on the beach in the evening. The people are friendly and the restaurants first class

@taniaandreea prices in everything south albania is ridiculous expensive, that's what I mean darling, I'm Albanian and I know things better than u ..... not worth visiting just because how those hotel restaurants owner abuse with prices , that's is the reason why this year the people who visiting my country has declined drastically ......

Hi, we went there in May. They were preparing to open the beaches. Some of them were already opened. In June must be already very hot, as in the rest of most Europe.
