Yes! We highly recommend that AirBnB. The views from that balcony were amazing. The apartment is small but very nice. Comfortable king bed and very comfy large sectional sofa in the living room. hi, thx for sharing! we are thinking about moving to Saranda. can you clarify a bit the spending on restaurants? 700 seems like a lot especially that you have a groceries bill of over 600. Did you eat out every day? the 700 include alcohol I guess...please can you elaborate a bit? In some videos vlogers suggest that a couple can live off of 1500 per month including rent. Is that really possible?
@JasonandMelissaTravel4 ай бұрын
We went out to eat maybe 8 times or so over the month we were there. Most dinners for two are 30-100 USD depending on where you go. Drinks were also included in the 700. Groceries were a bit expensive honestly. It might be possible for 2 people to live in Saranda for 1,500 a month. It all depends on what you like to do and your desired lifestyle. But I think it might be possible. Thanks for watching our video. If you have any other questions please let us know. ❤️ Jason and Melissa

How long do you have to stay out of the Schengen zone prior to returning?
@JasonandMelissaTravel2 ай бұрын
With a U.S. passport we are able to stay in the Schengen zone for 90 days out of 180 days. So for example if you stayed in the Schengen zone for 90 days straight, you would then need to be out of the Schengen zone for 90 days before returning. Once you return you would then have another 90 days out of 180 days. I hope this makes sense. You can also enter and exit the Schengen during your 90/180 to spread your days out. I have included a Schengen calculator so you can take a look and see how it works a bit better. Thank you for watching our videos and for the question! schengencalculator.net ❤️ Jason and Melissa

What is the cost of living not touring
@JasonandMelissaTravel4 ай бұрын
Very similar to off season prices. You might be able to find a place to rent for around 500 US dollars or so. You can definitely spend less than we did by not going out to eat as often. Thanks for watching our video.

I'm thinking of retiring to Albania, starting with a visit for a year. I get $5,000 a month in Social Security benefits and Veterans disability benefits, direct deposit. I also own a house in Connecticut in the states and make around $9,000 a year in interest on my CDs. How much is the cost to rent a small house with a pool in the surrounding area, close drive of 20-30 minutes? I'm a single guy with a well behaved dog.
@JasonandMelissaTravel5 ай бұрын
I’m almost positive you will find what you are looking for. I would start by contacting a realtor or joining a local facebook group in the area you are looking to move. You can always rent something for a month or so while you explore the area to see what is available. Good luck! Thanks for watching our video.

I have dual citizenship and have lived in Albania most of my life and I have to say it was and still is a garbage of a country. There is no respect for the law, corruption is rampant, police are mostly useless, healthcare and education are mediocre at best ... I'd rather stay in a prison in Danmark or Norway then live in Albania. The cities are mini-Kandahars with every possible noise, motorcycles-cars do not respect even the basic of traffic unless there is a policeman looking. Everyone can do whatever they want at whatever time of the day, culture is non-existent. Every young person is trying to immigrate and only the few ones are staying and passing time in some government job. Albania is a failed country where people who made money doing illegal things in the West launder their money, or people doing corruption in government jobs have a good life. If it is attracting for retired people form the rest of the world cause of low prices compared to rest of developed Europe, its ok for me, but it doesn't change the fact what Albania is in reality. And it's not a metter of who governs because it has always been like this and nothing will change whichever party governs they are basically the same.
