Albania: Inexpensive, wild history, beautiful beaches, and great food! WHY IS NO ONE HERE!?

Albania is a fascinating, charming, and interesting place. It's full of amazing history, and the people were some of the nicest we've met on this trip so far. The landscape is mountainous and mostly undeveloped and still has many of the communist-era structures still standing. The citizens here love tourists, yet no one pesters you to buy things. We absolutely loved our time here and are happy to hear that everyone is starting to realize the magic of this country and that tourism is on the rise. However, get here while it's still really cheap!!!

Off season avoids high prices for food, stay, beach umbrellas ect. also avoids waiting to be served in restaurant, traffic, torching heat which can make your tour unpleasant. Good choice you made. All the best to your family welcome back in the future.

All you say is true :) but "no one here" ? Last Summer when I was Albania I was appalled by the tourist crowds. Millions per year indeed. So many, that it became unpleasant, at least for me.

I should’ve clarified that it was in the off-season, just after summer, I’m sure the summer crowds are much different! Still, much less people than in Greece!
