Albanian Folk Dance

In 1993, Westwind International Folk Ensemble toured Romania, Turkey, Hungary and Croatia. This video was shot at an international festival in Bursa, Turkey, that we also performed in. We don't know the name of the group in this video, or the precise regions these dances come from.

This is the Dance of the Eagles. If you see men and women as well, their arms are copying Eagle's posture and flying. Their dressing is from my mum's area, Bulqiza ( Dibra area). Women still dress like this in our traditional weddings, especially in the villages. There isn't anything more beautiful than that. I ADORE MY CULTURE.😍😍😍😍

I think Albanian and Armenian people are different.maybe that dance and music which armenians dance can be similar but people are different .they are not relatives i think.because i always hear that iranian people close to armenians .and iranian music and dance absolutly different than this.albanian music ,dance ,culture are more close to Greece,georgian,laz people which live in turkey anatolian people,than armenians.and people are close too.i saw in my life armenians but real armenians not mixed.they are black skin people,like iranians. Albanian people is not black skin .laz people also and real geece people and also real georgian people also white people not black skin people. I have not any problems with Armenians just i like the truths. Sorry for my not good english

It's the National Ensemble with dances from the north, especially the Dibra region. The costumes are from Dibra region as well of the dance for the men, dancing on the toes, the Valle dyshe Dibrane.

Greeks are found to have a substantial relatedness to sub-Saharan (Ethiopian) people, which separate them from other Mediterranean groups.
