When I was a youngster. I saw a march with many pipe bands. Clutching my fathers hand and looking into his face. I asked why I was crying. He said it is because you are Scottish and the music of Scotland is moving you. I still am moved by the pipes and the drums. I used to go to the theatre to see the corries. Scottish music is in our family. My father was a part of the Scottish traditional music association. He played Scottish traditional music on the harmonica to a high standard. Touring small venues and sharing with other folks the music that gave his heart wings. I will carry those memories with me always. This video shows me the humble people of Scotland sharing their culture, their talent and the blood of Scotland. God uses music to speak without language. A universal language for all to understand. Albannach are amazing.

Michael parlebue Complete misunderstanding of what celtic means and its certainly not a race those people in the north and south east of england were related to central europeans who once spoke a celtic language therefore it was there language that defined them as celts of course they never called themselves that however it is language rather then genetics that define what is celtic. .Insofar as ireland wales and cornwall all spoke celtic languages until relatively recently they are entitled to be called celts They are two singers one who sings in scots gaelic the other irish who are able to have a conversation without switching to english that is why i prefer the term gaelic,because its a more tangible link.There were kilts,but the modern version is an english modification and the irish never wore them except antrim where many scots gaelic clans settled.Nevertheless the scots highlanders and the irish were very close culturally. .you are contradicting yourself with regards to the northern and southeast english they can not be both teutonic and celtic that makes no sense they maybe genetically of the same stock,but again language and culture defines what is germanic likely they are not germanic speaking at that time they were celtic speaking and genetically just central europeans.

I did not switch from celtic to gaelic i said gaelic brethren in my first comment.Secondly nothing romantic about it there is a strong similarity,between the gaelic speaking highlanders and the irish gaels i am not fluent in irish ,but i have enough to know a mutually intelligible language when i hear it and thats scots gaelic.Welsh even though its a related language i can't understand a word the grammar is similar,but the vocabulary is totally different.Before battles of culloden and kinsale,the cultures were very similar with the system of inheritance brehon laws the clan system not exactly the same.There is only 12 miles of sea separating ireland scotland so naturally they have a similar culture.

Imagine being in the rolling Hills and it’s foggy and there’s a war.
